Well they had spent13-14 million, so maybe they said ,were not spending anymore on this album. Is it possible they were relying on the "mystique" of the album or Axls reputation to sell the album.

Anyone ever heard the punk band GBH (grievence bodily harm)? They are from England and formed in the mid 80's. I stumbled upon them recently n cant stop listening to them,especially theiir live shows. First song I heard was Gimme Fire, its fuckin awesome.

+1 Its the main issue I have w UYI. Compared to Appetite, it sounds to hollow n it sucks that they lowered Izzys guitar, tha fucks up w that? Not to mention Matt makes the dumbest faces while playing, he should put a bag over his head when playing, or a mask like Buckethead.

I think we were lucky to get it at all in 2008. It seems the only reason for the release than was the leaks, which I think hurt CD sales to a degree.

But yeah, I think they waited for the VR album hype to die out,plus unknown drama behind the scenes..

One thing I never got was the Nirvana is punk thing. They dont sound anything like punk at all, at least the punk I listen to. In fact I think the best album of theirs is the unplugged album,which is as far from punk as you can be. PJ, aic, SG, way more talented IMO.

I recently came across a comment,on youtube, by a guy claiming to be very close to West. He said after West passed on, there was a box of his tapes n recordings,which he had made over the years on the road n such. This "friend" said Axl n Slash were not to touch the material unless they settled their differences.

Are you aware of said circumstances or no? And could you tell us about him a little, he seemed like a really cool dude, thanx for your reply Marc!
