He might be referring to the Ritz 1991 show, not 1988. 1991 doesn't have much footage available, but they used that concert for the footage in the "You Could Be Mine" music video.
Should have read the "25 years ago". My bad. That was a good show as well. Dust N Bones from that show was used on live era.
Here is the concert right here:

Didn't attend but watching that show about 500 times I can say that it's right up there with the best shows of all time. That was this group at their absolute best! Everything was clicking that night and the chemistry between these guys was the best it ever was. Breathtaking how good it was.

To me from what I've seen from the shows he has been in a great mood and shown a lot of energy in the GNR shows. AC/DC songs are right in his wheelhouse with the rasp. He has been excellent in both bands in all of the shows. This is only going to help him when he comes back to GNR in June. I never question his passion or heart. He goes on stage and sings his but off! No reason to question his loyalty and passion with GNR.

No more covers. Locomotive, dead horse, the garden, don't damn me would be a much better addition.

Axl's voice usually gets better as the tour goes on so I'm not too worried about it imo. This ain't think will actually help him and get him into peak form for this summer.

Richard is more comfortable and familiar with the music than Gilby. Richard is the better fit but Izzy is the best fit of them all.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was one of the best imo. Halloween, Silence of the lambs, exorcist, night of the living dead (the original) are others I've loved.

I'm no doctor but he should be out of the throne by June.

His Summer schedule is already fully booked.
Yeah just saw that.
Green Day is open all summer. They seem logical and are open.

Excellent story! Thanks for sharing. Best of luck to Tommy

For a new album you gotta think Izzy would have to be involved. He and Axl's songwriting ability would be crucial for a new album. That or create a new album with the previous unreleased material from the bygone days. Either one would be great. You would think if they were going to release a new album some of this stuff would be played live on this tour. Though I think a new GNR album would sell itself.

A good album but it doesn't touch the other GNR albums. It's a cover album. Can't even compare with Appetite, Lies, Illusions, etc..

The rasp is full force!!!!

Love how much Coma is respected! In my opinion it is the dicussion for the best overall GNR song ever.

Live Era is awesome. My two favorites on there I used to love her and Rocket Queen. Best live verisons of thone two songs. Knocking on heavens door from the Freddy Mercury Benefit Concert was also terrific that was on that album. The Axl rant about drunk people between Brownstone and It's so easy was great too.

Estranged

So hard to decide since they're so many great options on every album.

This group has done less than 10 shows together. Rome wasn't built in a day and chemistry with this group isn't going to be immediate. These 5 will gel at some point and it hasn't exactly sounded bad by any stretch.

They also played Mr Brownstone on acoustic at CBGB in 1987. Didn't sound bad at all. It could fit on an acoustic set very well.
Which Alt song would you like to hear next.

Really would like to hear Slither with Axl on vocals.
