  1. That's a great photoshopped pic!

OT: Axl is most likely not bi-polar. His early behavior was clearly influenced by substances.

He has a bad past like most people who got out of control in the 80's but he also has a great past.

Happy people focus on the positive aspect of others!

  2. Probably Xmas but when nov didn't happen, I was told march

When exactly did you decide to publish it and not wait? I'm sure a lot of people feel this situation was so close

to working out for both. You published in August 2008 and CD came out in November 2008.

Curious if Axl or other members offered to put up the money or help find you an investor if yours pulled out? I would

think there would be other investors waiting in the wings.

  3. If it's the slow decompression, what about the communication being turned off?

The article actually addresses that. Basically, a golf ball sized hole in the fuselage, near the SATCOM antenna adapter, would cause the communications systems to fail...one after another.

    • Likely fuselage failure near SATCOM antenna adapter, disabling some or all of GPS, ACARS, ADS-B, and ADS-C antennas and systems.
    • Thus, only primary radars would detect the plane. Primary radar range is usually less than 100nm, and is generally ineffective at high altitudes.

Interesting you would complain about other people posting theories!

    "Someone acting deliberately'

The first clue that the captain or co-pilot may have been involved stems from when the plane made a sharp, deliberate turn just after it last communicated with Kuala Lumpur air traffic controllers, and before it would have to communicate with Vietnamese controllers, according to the U.S. official with knowledge of the latest intelligence thinking. http://www.cnn.com/2014/03/16/world/asia/malaysia-airlines-plane/

  4. This is a sensitive matter with HV knowing someone related. I will give a hopeful scenario.

What if there is some on-going negotiation going regarding the patent to some technology?

Is this true and means anything? Can anyone find out if these are 4 of the 20 employees on board from that Austin firm?

"Four days after flight MH370 goes missing, a patent is approved. 4 of the 5 Patent holders are Chinese employees of Freescale Semiconductor of Austin TX. The fifth is the company itself. Each patent is divided into 20% increments to the 5 holders -

    Peidong Wang, Suzhou, China, (20%)
    Zhijun Chen, Suzhou, China, (20%)
    Zhihong Cheng, Suzhou, China, (20%)
    Li Ying, Suzhou, China, (20%)
    Freescale Semiconductor (20%)"

  5. A friend's parents were on this flight.

Sad. The hope is strong for them.

It's very sad. It was her mother's birthday yesterday... they released a bunch of balloons for her.

    1979697_10203619170099653_770151320_n.jp

    That's beautiful. I feel hopeful.

It does look very good that they are alive as hostages as far away as Kazakhstan.

I know the whole world would pay that ransum if that is what this is about.

  6. Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 may of been hacked and then remotely controlled according to a FAA document released last November.

The release which can be accessed on the Federal Register website states: "The integrated network configurations in the Boeing Model 777-200, -300, and -300ER series airplanes may enable increased connectivity with external network sources and will have more interconnected networks and systems, such as passenger entertainment and information services than previous airplane models."

The report continues: "This may enable the exploitation of network security vulnerabilities and increased risks potentially resulting in unsafe conditions for the airplanes and occupants. This potential exploitation of security vulnerabilities may result in intentional or unintentional destruction, disruption, degradation, or exploitation of data and systems critical to the safety and maintenance of the airplane."

People may point out and say that the MH370 is of the Boeing 777-200ER variant and the FAA release isn't applicable to the missing plane however the ER suffix just means 'Extended Range'. This translates to larger engines and a higher fuel capacity.

The FAA have also released an 'Airworthiness Directive' regarding structural problems on the Boeing 777. One interesting news article by a Malaysian newspaper 'The Star' which has been coincidently taken down; quotes Allen Kenitzer, Northwest Mountain and Alaska Regions communications and media relations manager of the FAA saying that "any Airworthiness Directive it issued for the 777-200 included the -200ER model unless specifically limited by airplane line number or other factors."

This means that the FAA release regarding the network security vulnerabilities should also apply to the missing MH-370 'unless specifically limited by airplane line number or other factors.'

This begs the question as to who benefits from the missing plane and the resulting chaos?

    https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2013/11/18/2013-27343/special-conditions-boeing-model-777-200--300-and--300er-series-airplanes-aircraft-electronic-system

Who benefits? There are theories about warfare technology and "chips". The 20 "key" employees on board at that tech firm. One wonders what the cargo contained and if the air pirates were related to insiders.

  7. "Pink Floyd "Empty Spaces" backward message - here it is from 'The Wall" LP side 2 - the section of the song forwards, then the reverse button pressed, then you can hear "congratulations, you have just discovered the secret message...send your answer to Old Pink, care of the funny farm, Chalfont.."" (interruption: "Roger, Carolyn's on the phone")"

  8. One thing seperating us from them, is they still think they are the bee's knees whereas we know, that nothing will match 1985-93. To a certain degree, all live in the shadow of Appetite. They may as well have retired after that record. So, Axl comes onto a casino stage in 2014 and delivers his cheesy setlist and waves his cock about like it is 1992 but ultimately, we know it is fake cack. devoid of artistry. Slash probably thinks he is recording ''Appetite part 2'' - now, as we speak - but we know that what will be released will be, unimaginative dullness or at best, modestly decent. None of them can possibly equal 1987 and there whole career is really a bunch of, failed attempts to repeat, 1987.

From what I get these two are very regular people and seem relatively unaffected by the change of atmosphere from superstar

to non-hyped touring musicians decades later. Slash is up for anything, even a seat filler on The Price is Right. Axl is like a crazy

uncle who gets drunk at parties and lets people video him telling fun-filled Slash stories usually wearing embarrassing t-shirts!

How would you change the setlist?

I also don't see the Hard Rock Hotel stage as an improper venue. It's a venue

that host the top rock acts in the world. Vegas is so devoid of a rock scene or a rock bar---everything is horrid techno.

It's really a sad place run by Mormons (?) for the rich and boring! They put an art gallery in there once with Rembrandts,

Vermeers, etc. and it didn't even work for me. It's got this Disneyland for adults vibe, you can't concentrate there. You

can't even be bad there without that being fake bad!

  9. I agree that no one really hates either. It's just a knee-jerk reaction

the way some people comment from the way neg media paint their portraits.

    Celebrity bashing is media brainwashing.

Slash and Axl could have presented together IMO had not Slash

done that Rolling Stone interview weeks before. I thought the members of

GNR really hated Rolling Stone and Janda Weiner from the long history of slights.

And people didn't make the connection that Jann Wenner is the co-founder and chair

of the RRHOF and co-founder and publisher of Rolling Stone with a master plan.

WHY did Jann FORCE that outcome by running that damaging story only weeks

before in his on-line Rolling Stone magazine? For buzz/ratings for his institution and

to force Axl's hand to stay away. I believe this because they also cut Axl out of the footage

of the greatest RRHOF moments montage that played. (It was Axl and Elton John).

Slash couldn't have cared about GNR reuniting either if he said those things to the press which

is the same move that forced Axl's hand to stay away.

After that, the fans should have realized that is is mutual lack of caring but they blamed Axl only.

Why did Slash agree to go along? To promote Myles and his band. I'm guessing if Slash was in

the planning then given a choice to have Axl accept the honor with no performance,

he chose (or went along with) having Axl shunned and HIS band perform. How could Axl go there

after Jann and Slash went after him? Would you? And i'm not saying that Slash shouldn't have gone

but he shouldn't have teamed with Wenner. Best outcome: Slash and Axl could have said hello to

each other on national t.v.! And then back to not talking again!

  10. A healthier way to look at it is how long they stayed together as collaborators instead of how things dissolved.

I made a thread about how things could have shifted but people got in the way.

"Am I grasping too hard here? It needs work.

    1) Beatles got their FIRST record contract in 1962.
    2) EIGHT years later in 1970, Paul McCartney announced his solo project.
    3) FIVE years later Lennon reunited with Yoko in 1975; NINE years after their relationship started.
    4) ONE year later in 1976, the band had a record distribution deal expiring.
That same year they were offered 50 million for a one-reunion show. The same year they were watching SNL together and strongly considered grabbing a cab to show up and reunite on-stage.

    1) GN'R got their FIRST record contract in 1986
    2) EIGHT years later in 1994 Slash presents completed solo material

    3) FIVE years later after Slash leaves the band in 1996, he marries in 2001; NINE year of marriage later and a separation and near-divorce in 2010.
    4) ONE year later in 2011, the RRHOF announces GN'R as inductees. Monetary reunion offers
are undisclosed. It appears possible they will -at minimum- accept the award together but bad press erupts (and bad blood spills again).

John and Paul were getting close again before Yoko's return. Paul even pushed for them to reunite. If Slash had divorced he might have started reaching out to his guy friends more for comfort as John did with Paul. That is unless his bio was the actual point of no renewal of friendship. I don't feel any of these guys would have been able to pick up musically where they left off and still would have gone in their respective directions but the domineering women in their lives didn't allow any script revisions. Not that the women are bad but they get the man into a routine that isn't conducive to getting carried by the wind."

  11. From everything I have read, I don't see why this band should have been encouraged to reform

    at any point.

I read this Chaunce Hayden interview ('01) in a magazine called Steppin Out:

CH: Do you miss Guns N' Roses?

Slash: No. We had a fucking great time. The Guns N' Roses days were a blast! But you can't recreate it after a certain point. The lineup in the band had depleted so much. I just realized I couldn't keep doing it anymore. So I just split while it was still cool. (Laughs) You know?

CH: What's your opinion of Axl Rose?

Slash: I haven't talked to him since I quit. That puts that concept to rest.

CH:There has to be more to the story than that.

Slash: No, its pretty simple. He was heading in one direction and I was heading in another. It was actually a slow progression from the days when we first made a record all the way up to the final record. When our last tour ended, he made it clear which way he wanted to go musically. I tried to hang on and stay with the band as long as I could, but there was definatly limitations. It just got to the point where we couldnt work together anymore.

CH:How do you feel about Axl continuing to tour as Guns N' Roses?

Slash: Axl is making the call for whatever his 3 percent of the band is worth. He's making the call these days. My life was just miserable then. I couldn't deal with it. So I just left. So when he wanted to use the name Guns N' Roses I said sure, I didn't want anything to do with it.

  12. Explain why Axl should give up the band name if:

    1) He never left

    2) It's named after him

    3) He named it

    4) He doesn't want to be a solo artist, he wants to continue his vision

1/ Technically he did. On 31st December 1995, Guns N' Roses were dissolved. The band created after this, also called 'Guns N' Roses', are a seperate legal entity from the band which was formed in 1985.

2/ 3/ You are ignoring Tracii Guns. You are also ignoring Izzy Stradlin who is also a founding member.

4/ Fine 'vision', reducing GN'R to a cheesy Vegas act.

    1) Axl didn't quit the band by working out those legalities. Corporation change officers/names for

all different reason. Even to financial responsibility.

2/3) I was aware he named it with Traci Guns. I think "guns" came from how a girl referred to Traci. I

didn't know Izzy helped name it if that is what you are saying.

    4) When Axl procured the name, he saved kept the band alive. For those who are happy with that

choice, let them enjoy it. Slash seemed to allude in that interview that the magic was gone. Why

should anyone blame either one of them for their personal choices? Everyone is happy now.

  13. as a fan of gnr (old and new) he fucked me today...

Axl is the one you should be mad at.

He fucked you when he decided to keep a band name in which he needed Slash to sign off on stuff for it.

Possibly the worst business model I have ever seen. Axl runs a nostalgia business that he doesn't even have the rights to do as he'd wish with.

He should get out of the tribute band business and back into music at some point the way the other members have. Then these types of things wouldn't be such an issue.

Explain why Axl should give up the band name if:

    1) He never left

    2) It's named after him

    3) He named it

    4) He doesn't want to be a solo artist, he wants to continue his vision

  14. Tool Frontman Selling Hideous Beachwood House For $2.795MM

"The "unique" Mediterranean-style house owned by orotund-voiced metalhead Maynard James Keenan (frontman of Tool and A Perfect Circle, soundtracks to your post-grunge, late-nineties angst) was sent to us a by a tipster who informs us that, while the 2001 house is staged in these listing photos, "everything nailed down" is Keenan's, the bounty of globetrotting travels to Bali and similarly exotic locales. Keenan, who studied interior design, brought back some pretty standard finds from abroad: a hulking piece of no-doubt-rare wood that appears to be an enormous sedan chair; an apothecary-style kitchen island with a million cupboards that will never be anything but a frustration when you are looking for nutmeg; chandeliers acquired from the estate of Zorro. The eclectic fun extends to the patio, where you can soak in the jacuzzi while the weird, faux-patinaed goblinbabies embellishing the posts look on in demonic glee. The asking price is $2.795 million."
