Someone mentioned Megadeth, and I personally would love to see him do some metal in a band environment. If not a thrash-styled supergroup, then perhaps playing in like a tech-death metal band or some progressive metal.
With the right musicians that would kick some serious metal ass.
Think about what he could do with say Mastodon, or alongside Steven Wilson and Akerfeldt, forming a supergroup with a sound similar to Goreguts, or forming a band with musicians from this new wave of thrash. Would be epic.

Goddamm if I don't agree with the dude's choices for those five albums. Dog Eat Dog and These Days are extremely good LPs.
I never thought Too Fast... was underrated though.

So has it aired yet over there in the US on VH1 Classic (or whatever it is?). Did they put some post production in?

I'll tell you what it is, it's fucking heartbreaking when you read the public's comments on all social media news articles about the performance last night. Heartbreaking. I now await the usual continuous posts on my own facebook bagging Axl and the band by the imbecilic element of my social circle who think it is both intelligent and insightful to broadcast negativity - especially because they know all too much my love for the band.
This all should have happened four, six years ago. Fuck it hurts. But I think we're done.
I initially thought it was fucking cool that Axl shunned the bullshit RnRHOF, and instead decided to do the low budget, relatively less acknowledged but definitely more rock and roll Golden Gods. And the fact that Duff was along side filled me with hope and I was fucking PRAYING for a good show. God fucking damn it. ISO was fucking batshit good, and the intensity was there...honestly, that's the only song they should broadcast.

If you mean embarrassing because Axl has milked this poor desiccated cow to the point that none of us seem to give a shit anymore, then I agree.Bloody hell, there's an embarrassing amount of bullshit being spouted in this abysmal thread.
Interesting last few shows, that's for sure. It's been a while since it was as fun as this!
*sigh* I get way too depressed when I start thinking about the bigger picture like that.

Seriously, Ron is all class. Definitely the coolest member of GnR.
Sucks about the lack of good news about any new material coming out at all. Oh well...

I have a playlist on the pod for the whole album with the original tunes and artists in the same order as TSI.
It's fun. Happy anniversary!

I am gonna reply to this only because the song 'Hey God' off the These Days album has ALWAYS been sung by Axl in my head.
(First post! - long time lurker)
These Days, great fucking album. I'd love to hear Axl sing This Ain't A Love Song from that album, I once read an interview were Jon said that he didn't do the song justice, and that I should have been sung by a better singer.
After the obvious two, it is definitely one of their very best. And my personal favourite. And probably the only BJ album I would play in public without cringing a little.
Oh, and I thought of one more tune Axl wails on in my head... Miracle, from the Young Guns soundtrack.

Kickass shirts have been the best (read only) releases our favourite band has done over the last couple of years.
Oh, those two lads speaking nicely about Down - I agree with you both wholefuckinheartedly.
