  1. all bands need to do a self titled or untitled. something known as "the red album" would be cool. a triple cd with no artwork or pics. containing CD-era and new material and covers.

    Sounds cool.

I like the idea of a subtitle, like epic sagas

    Chinese Democracy : The General

Chinese Democracy : Elvis Presley and The Monster Of Soul

Chinese Democracy : All In Good Faith

I REALY like the title Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul.

I think Axl should call it "Axl Rose's Lonely Hearts Club Band"

Guns n' Roses - Dr Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
    Lmao, +1

  4. Fight or flight, and Slash chose flight.

But I've had the same thought, all the beefs Slash and Duff made public, the coming on stage late, not liking new members, etc, could have been resolved by talking shit out.

Duff mentioned million times in his book how much he hated Axl going on stage late, but doesn't mention once talking to him about it. I wonder if Axl even knew it bothered him so much.

Slash complained about the late starts, and the hiring of Paul Huge, than he talks about how Axl had a dinner with him to discuss the future of the band and to try and get Slash and himself on the same page, and Slash admittedly doesn't bring any of it up. Seriously, what better opportunity is there than that, "you want me on the same page, can Huge, show up to practice, show to gigs on time, and I'm all in"

Not to be to hard on Slash, he doesn't like confrontation, power to him, to each his own, but fuck, if they could have just communicated with each other a little better.

As for Duff, I think he was just a guy that bottled up his emotions and delt with his shit on his own.

  5. A self titled album would be the epitome of douchebagery on Axl's parts. Bands always release self titled albums when they feel they're at a point where the band is epitomizing what they are and have always been about. It'd be a massive joke if Axl self titled an album as if to say this is THE Guns N' Roses. He'd just come off like a total ass clown if he did it.

But this IS THE Guns N' Roses.

    GN'R COMPLAINTS

^^^ My vote goes to this one, but "Saulmonster" is a nice one too.

    Saulmonster, lmfao, love it.

  6. A self-titled album would say more than any other title.

Yep. It would say this is GNR and fuck anyone who says different. I like it. I would also like GnFnR. \m/ \m/

I don't like the idea of CD2 because CD wasn't titled CD1. Silly, I know, but it would bother me. And if their going to reuse a previous album title, I think I'd prefer UYI3.

I don't like Legend of the Red Panda, it sounds silly and I would be afraid people wouldn't take it seriously. But I do like the idea of sticking with an Asian theme for a title, if the album is mostly CD leftovers. Just not that one, lol.

I really think they should return to the old formula and name it after another artwork.

    I like this idea too.

  7. I like the Kyle Gass idea, it would instantly make Axl you slimmer, younger, and better dressed.

I like and respect Vivian, but I don't think he's right for guns stylistically.

I've said before that I would love to see Tracii in the lineup, big LA Guns fan here. And the best part, if they brought him in, they could market it as the return of their original guitarist. :)

I would like to see a lineup of Axl, Tracii, Duff, Izzy, Dizzy, Ferrer; if only just for a single album cycle. (And by that I mean a traditional 2-4 year albums cycle)

Out of all the members of new guns you could keep, you choose Ferrer?

Haha, yeah, well I don't have a favorite drummer, and I don't want it said I don't support the current line up. :)

  9. Baz @ Starland Ballroom was awesome last night.

    image.jpg

They sounded great. I was worried for a bit that the PA might be shitty because the opening vocalists all sounded shitty, but that was not the case.

And Baz is fucking funny on stage. At the end of the show he goes "alright, this is the part of the show that we pretend that was our last song and walk over there, be really we're going to come right back. So, that's it folks, bye" he walks to the side of te stage and the rest of the band doesn't even move, he comes right back "hey, it's great to be back".

Then for their last song, they were going to do an acoustic version of I Remember You, but the guitar was out of tune so he smashs it.

He ended the show by saying fuck you to (hurricane) Sandy and Irene, which was cool because the town was one of the hardest hit by them, Starland Ballroom was actually just reopened recently. Place looks great by the way, completely redone.

2 more noteworthy quips by Baz, he gave a shout out to Duff for co-writting a song from the new album and he gave a little FU to the skid row guys. Beginning of the show, right before going into Monkey Busniess, he says something along the lines of "we're going to play something from slave to the grind, I don't care if I hate those guys, I fucking love this song".

Oh, and I saw a guy with a GNR AFD tshirt, so I pointed at the shirt and gave him the horns. :)

Sounds awesome, I'm seeing Baz in August, haven't seen him since January 2010 and can't wait to see him again! Did you happen to pick up his new album? If so how is it?

I did, and I liked it. I thought the music was really good, I really like some of the riffs, grooves, and melodies; and his voice is awesome. The weakest part of the album maybe the lyrics, but to be fair, I haven't been paying attention to the lyrics when I listen to it. I thought the lyrics to temptation were cheesy when I first heard it, so I haven't bothered to really pay attention to the lyrics for the rest of the album, lol.
