  1. I agree with the OP but it doesn't matter. Comments like that only show that Axl Rose was still crying and bitter about Slash's departure.

lol almost 20 years and still bitter. :shrugs:

Well, we know for a fact that Perla is still bitter and she was around for nothing. Do you believe that that doesn't reflect the true feelings of her husband?

I see Perla as a Guns N' Roses fan, not as Slash's wife. Slash was a member of Gn'R, not Perla.

I don't see anyone talkin' about Beta's comments about Slash or Slash guitar playing.

Beta's an idiot. Who cares what she says?

Slash has nothing but nice things to say about Axl and even posted a happy birthday wish to him, totally bitter.

  2. If Slash had called Axl a cancer (he wouldn't) I can imagine the Axl's army of nutjobs all twisting their panties in a very much worse way.

    Even worse than this?

This what? Honestly I haven't seen many Slash fans complaining or even talking about it. Can you find any posts about it? Overly dramatic like OP or lolcano are describing it?

I think people like to mention "Axl called Slash a cancer" when they need to show the lunatic Axl has become.

  3. I used to be a Slash hater

I was really expecting a new album by 2010

I tried to enjoy watching RIR 2011 but it was cringeworthy and I had invited friends who were casual fans to watch it with me, now they kinda hate/make fun of Axl

I really like RIR3 even with fat Axl with his helium voice.

I barely listen to GNR anymore

I've never listened to Snakepits second album and Slash's first solo album

I think Izzy is overated, his solo career is mediocre.

    I think CD is overated

    I think AFD is underated

I think any person who takes Axl's side (fans, team brazil, the hired band, del james) is a little insane, but were good people once (beta seemed nice at rir3 and now is a total bitch)

I think Slash is far from the media-whore some people call him, he's just a famous musician

  4. Axl: rehearses once, brings hamburgers.

    Result: RIR 2011

You do realize that that practice took place in 2006, right? 2011 has absolutely nothing to do with anything in this conversation.

in 2006 Axl brought hamburgers to the band and in 2011 he brought hamburgers to himself.

  5. Axl's voice has always been shit according to the general public since the beginning and I've always loved it! Nobody comes close to Axl Rose IMO.

The bitterness around here is incredible. I think it's time to stop trolling and go follow a band that suits your needs.

I'd say the general public thinks Axl's voice was awesome and now it's shot and weak, with few moments of greatness.

I agree with the part about biterness. I mean, 20 years and 1 album, how can the fans not be bitter right? Fuck, what's wrong with Axl?

Let's not even talk about the biterness of the Slash haters, a guy who left the band many years ago.

  6. So no news about a new album, new songs, the upcoming concert DVD, songs from paying Nightrain members were ignored, Fernando was in charge of approving the questions and Jarmo is whining about "real-fans"? Does that summarize it?

Even the most die-hard supporters have to admit that this is getting a little ridiculous.

    Complaints, complaints complaints...

I've just read Jarmo's posts about the chat. Seriously, it's unbeliveable, I hope I never sink this low for anybody. What a disgrace to mankind.

  7. That is not the reason for the current delay as far as I know.

Yeah, I'm under that impression as well. Last I heard from Rock Fuel, the publishing issue had been resolved. I'd just been wondering the whole time what the publishing issue was in the first place. A problem with one of the cover songs? It hadn't occurred to me it might be an issue with the classic GNR songs. According to someone I spoke with the other day, Slash and Duff were holding things up, but if Rock Fuel is to be believed (and I personally believe them), that's been resolved.

No idea what the current delay is.

Just give $la$h some money and he'll approve it

And Axl is releasing (LOL) this DVD for what? world peace? HAHAHAHA

  8. If things went the other way and Axl was the one who left GN'R while Slash and/or one or all of the rest stayed together as Guns with a new singer, Guns N' Roses would not have had the "success" they have had post '96 with Axl up front.

Side note: You can argue the definition of "success" all you want. It is beside the point.

Velvet Revolver was just as successful as Nu, and they didn't even have the GNR name to carry them, so you're completely wrong.

Velvet Revolver was a great band but they didn't get the attention or crowd sizes Guns N' Roses did.

Wow, although you just stated the obvious, it's probably the best post i've seen from you.

  9. Because Axl Rose is different. He's unpredictable, he's got a mystic about him, he's got bi-polar. That's why the Axl Rose interview was the only time I ever watched Jimmy Kimmel. He's not just more interesting than Slash, but everyone from old Guns. He's more interesting than a lot of rock bands because he lives in the shadows, he hides away somewhere for months at a time. And people are guessing what's going to happen when he comes back. He rarely does interviews, media appearances, he's rarely in the spotlight. And if he is, it'll be a huge moment. If he ever had a cover story fro Rolling Stone magazine, it'll be big. He's just developed a mystic about him that makes people interested in him, whether it's good or bad.

Now, after I get that out of way there's more important stuff to talk about. How in the fuck is a person who releases music on a timely basis a media whore? Because he collaborated with other musical artists, because he plays with his friends, he plays at the Super Bowl? Not one musical artist (even Axl himself) would turn down to play at the Super Bowl. He's been able to stay in the mainstream, in the spotlight because he's done everything that Axl hasn't done in the past decade. If Slash is a media whore, than I guess every other musical artist is too. Because Slash is not different from every other musician who releases music on a timely bases, tours, promotes and does interviews. So I guess during the 90's, Axl Rose was a media whore than too, right?

    Best post in the thread?

  10. Not to mention that Gilby is on the list - the man that really did nothing but is still so much respected as a GnR guitarist.

You gotta give credit to some old GnR fanboys

gilby did nothing yet he played on more gnr albums than bumblebee, fink and fortus....

you gotta give credit to some nugnr fanboys

excuse me sir but how many hot sauces gilby released during his time with guns?

  11. This whole Axl vs Slash thing is hilarious. What the Axl nut huggers don't realize is that if you were to grab a random person off the street who knew about Guns N Roses and asked them to read the comments in this thread and on this forum their reaction would be "What the fuck is wrong with these clowns" when it comes to the people defending axl incessantly. So many of you are so delusional and out of touch it's rather sad. there is legit reasons for why someone might be following Axl more intently than Slash in 2013 but Slash being uninteresting or boring or washed up is not one of them. Fuck some of you need a reality check. That or you need to lay of the drugs. Seriously.

It is beyond your comprehension that someone could actually be of the opinion that Slash is boring? Really?

yeah it is actually beyond my comprehension for fake ass people to look at a guy who had a massive hand in creating the music that is the reason why we are all here and say he's boring, washed up, uninteresting. It reaks of loser Axl fanboyism. It's like a bunch of grown adults acting like 12 year old girls fawning over Justin Bieber but in this case it's Axl Rose.

the idea that a musical artist creating and releasing music on a regular basis, who is now into producing horror movies, who collaborates with other musicians all the time who tours regularly not only with his own band but with one off shows within other bands, who does interviews, who appreciates his fan base, is boring, is fucking insane and to be honest fucking stupid. And it's the opinion of blind Axl fanboys who have lost touch with all reality. It's an opinion of people who are so deep in their fanboyism that they've bought into this misconception that being active and productive is not only boring it's actually being an attention whore and a sell out. Some of you on this site really need to give your heads a massive shake case you are in fact insane.

That's the difference between Axl and Slash fans, right there. Slash fans will never deny Axl's importance to the band, or that he has a unique voice, stuff like that.

I am not talking about denying Slash's importance to GN'R, or his unique playing style. I am simple saying that today I find him boring. I consider him a spent force without the ability to create anything of interest to me anymore and with a increasingly stagnant technique. It's an honest opinion and it is hilarious that people make fools of themselves by not accepting it as it is but rather insists on hilariously draping this honest opinion with erroneous motives that only exist in their struggling minds.

I know man, I was not talking about you. I was talking about the more "passionate" Axl fans.
