  1. surprised so many people dont like Myles voice and think he is a weak link? I think hes probably the best singer slash has worked with since...well axl..he can really belt it out

Weiland was good, but there was no way he could sing any of those GNR songs.

what is it you guys dont like?

IMO, Myles is the best singer in rock. Period end of story.

Yes. He 's in my top 5.

I will never understand how some people think he's the worst singer ever and other consider him one of the best in rock history

  2. I remember there was a forum member on here a long time ago that used to post about finding new music every week. I'm sure it wasn't actually every week, but it felt like it ha. One week he would find the Cure, the next week Pink Floyd would be the greatest band in the world.

I miss feeling that way. Picking up a record and discovering a new band that has so much amazing music to go through. The feeling of getting lost in a record. There is still a lot of great new music out there, but it doesn't move me the way I used to be moved by music in the past. I must just be getting old.

You speak words of wisdom my friend.

It feels like the brain gets full of music at one point... really strange feeling.

Weird thing is I'm just 18

Still, sometimes I'm a few days without listening to music (specially when I'm in exams) an after that I always find a new kind of music that amazes me, it's completely :wow: .

  3. The only band that has been persistent on my musical tastes is GN'R, at least for the last 8 years. Putting that aside, I've gone from Japanese Pop to Chilean/Argentinan/Peruvian folklore, lately I'm a lot into Melodic Rock and AOR.

Since Spotify, I've been putting it all together on a playllist and it's quite a trip into my musical tastes and their evolution, I've been rediscovering old bands that I liked and listening on a daily basis all kinds of music

  4. I'm at work, but is what Angeles posted a better version of what I posted? I noticed it's not from London, but perhaps the same version from a different concert.

There used to be one from the exact show I posted but it's gone ):

It's from L.A Forum, I couldn't find any video from London other than the one you posted above

  5. When you're playing other people's songs, you're not going to have any emotional involvement.

...unless it's your all-time favourite band and you love it passionately and those songs have been the sountrack to your life...

You think the guys Axl has now give a shit about these songs? Tommy sure as fuck doesn't. He doesn't even like them. DJ and Dizzy are probably the only two who genuinely like the songs and I think sometimes that DJ only uses this "band" as a marketing enterprise.

For any musician, playing music is one the most enjoyable things in life. It's a different kind of high that you will reach no matter what kind of music you're playing

+, You have to enjoy it if you're doing it for 13 years on every show, unless you hate your life
