It's funny how Bumblefoot went from GNR to the Art Of Anarchy project. They recorded 2 albums, had 2 singers and played about 13 shows. It's as if he want the opposite of Guns N' Roses
Well, AoA had a lot of issues with lead singers as well. Scott sang on the album but later called them a scam and said he was never the 'lead singer'. Scott Stapp was later sued by the band because they felt he wasnt putting in the hours, doing 80 solo shows compared to the 13 with AoA. They were dropped from their label and has been pretty quiet since 2017.

So heres my overall thinking about the whole AC/DC & GNR album / tour rumors. I've got a strange feeling AC/DC will be opening up for Guns this year over in Australia around September, Guns does a US tour July - August then too Australia. I believe for AC/DC they will be the opening act to test out Brian's hearing aids, if that goes well more touring, if not then AC/DC ended where it fucking started. We know Angus and Axl still talk back in 2018 Axl dedicated Heavens Door to Angus' dog & Angus and his wife sent Beta flowers for her birthday. Also imagine that huge fucking paycheck & that headline "GNR touring with new music with the opener being a reunited AC/DC".
Lol, no.

So it's still call NILT ?
Highly doubt it, with all the 'all new show' and 'next chapter' BS. Doesn't mean it won't be largely the same shit though.
-
Do they even have an active deal with a label? I don't think they'd go for a 360 deal, that seems like something more suitable to lesser known artist. GnR didnt need the extra publicity to sell the reunion tickets and generate attention, so why would they give up a chunk of the proceeds to pay a label to do something that's not necessary. Same goes for the album, if something is released it will get plenty of attention, and I'm sure Beta and Fernando are able to secure them some spots on late night talkshows if they figure they need more attention. At this point I'd assume they are not looking at an album as something that would bring in serious dough, it would be a vessel to warrant more touring for the next few years.

My biggest problem with this show is that it's a festival. Which means shorter setlist filled with the typical hits and 2 CD songs + covers.
I might have went if it was a normal show, but the lineup for Pinkpop is pretty shitty so I think I'll pass.
Well, in all fairness, when they did festivals in 2018 it was just the 'regular' 3hr+ set / production. Not sure what we'll get this time. They made it easy for me, I don't like the festival, I'm fed up with the tour as it is (was?) and there's no alternative within a few hours drive (Hamburg probably being the closest after PP). So I'll just sit back, relax, check what happens over the next few months with all the 'Next chapter' and 'all new show' BS, and if it's actually worth it I might scoop up tix for either PP or Hamburg. And otherwise it's not biggie, I'm sure if all the rumors about new music and whatnot are true they'll do multiple legs in each region.

In terms of enthusiasm for this tour, it's funny if you look at Pinkpop, which went on sale weeks before GNR was announced. They have a capacity of roughly ~65k per day, and the cut between daytickets / 3 days passes varies but is usually around 25k day tix per day and 40k 3 day passes. If GNR was still pushing a shitload of tix you'd expect their day on Pinkpop to sell out within hours of the announcement last week, but nothing happened. Both day tickets and 3 day passes are still on sale (other days with RHCP and Post Malone respectively also havent sold out). Perhaps they've bumped the amount of day tickets to 30k, they've done that in the past when they had an expensive headliner, but it's still an indicator of how much tix they are pushing in 2019.

Lol he was in Vampires for like two days, right? Nevertheless, probably a must read for any GnR nut.

Steve jones is ridiculous, he doesn’t know shit whats going on right now and is asking about spaghetti incident. Really?
Lol shit it got me afraid he was building up to a new covers album.
I don't know this guy, apparently he's a personality in the US? He forgot the name of the song he was gonna play and seems to forget a lot of crap in general and apparently has no idea what's going on with GnR / Slash

Lol so did they play 1 VR, 1 GnR and now SMKC song?

Ah there's the tweet, definitely labeled as 'the next chapter', no more nitl

Shit if it's all new I might go after all, not I'll end up waiting until the tour has started to make sure it's actually true.
What boggles me has that there's been no tweet or whatever, which leads me to believe that they might announce something else after all
-
Lol I even doubt its all related. Maybe he's just doing it for a friend or just talks some random other crap and the usual evasive answers around the tour and new music.
'Ya know it just feels good, the vibe, the atmosphere. It's nice to have that and we just want to keep that going for as long as possible. New music, sure, that's what we all want, and we're definitely jamming every now and then, but we just don't want to overcomplicate and commit ourselves to something that might screw with the current vibe"

According to Pinkpop;
Met de terugkeer op het nest van verloren zonen Slash en Duff McKagan begin 2016, verdwenen de plannen voor een opvolger van Chinese Democracy in de ijskast. Guns N’ Roses begon liever aan de bijzonder succesvolle Not in This Lifetime…
Which says;
When Slash and Duff returned plans for a follow up to Chinese Democracy disappeared out of sight, as they embarked on the successful NITL tour, which is continuing at present. There was a nice remaster of AFD and in Feb 2019 Slash and Duff mentioned they were working on new music. Whether or not we'll have new music, we are thrilled to have them on the 3rd day of Pinkpop 2020.

Yep this is definitely a one-off. I'm not even sure of the SA shows would fall under the 'all new show / next chapter' BS, as far as I'm aware only the Euro leg was marketed as that. Could mean that whatever we might get would drop between the end (April 11th) of the SA leg and the start (May 20th) of the Euro leg?
