In terms of songwriting there's a clear winner.

    1. I'm just Ken. Fleshed out lyrics, great vocal performance, interesting backing track.

    2. Killing Floor - Just a classic song, my favourite version being Zeppelins, but I just love the lyric and the riff is fantastic, I also think it's the most memorable Slash solo since the WOF record.

    3. Perhaps - Decent vocal with more memorable melody, I like the feel of the song, solo is frustratingly bleh... but the song is good.

    4. Hardskool - Better solos, the vocal is fine but why did he decide to repeat the lyrics so many times, surely he could have come up with some variations OR just added variation in how he sang the lyric. REALLY brings the quality of the song down. Obviously not an A tier riff either. And the slide solo section is absolutely surplus to requirements, somebody needs to hide Slash's slide and while they're at it sell his pedal steel🤣

    5. Absurd - Backing track would be an 8/10 if it wasn't for that pointless atmospheric breakdown section. Vocal??? what more can be said. it's really not the worst thing I've heard but it's really not something I want to listen to and I'll listen to almost any GNR song. Guitar solos had some great energy that reminded me of a younger Slash with some fire in him.

    6. The General - just disappointing. Lyrically it obviously has some substance, but musically it dies on its ass. Vocal melody choices are bizarre, the riffs are completely throwaway. The song doesn't build it just stays in the same gear.

I firmly believe GNR need to shelve the remainder of the Chinese tracks (Monster, State of Grace, Atlas etc. and any of the others). They just don't work. Only sensible foot forward approach is fresh material and hire and listen to a producer that has a track record of rescuing bands lost at sea. That used to be Rick Rubin, not sure who it is now (not Andrew Watt).

I'd honestly be pretty pumped if they got Andrew Watt on board for an album... he managed to put together Patient Number 9 whilst Ozzy's on his never-ending death bed, god bless him, which was a great album.

Watched AC/DC at River Plate again the other day and I was thinking is there anything remotely close from any other band/audience? What would be the one GNR show you would show to your kids to give them an idea of the magic? Not just a good performance but to capture a bit of the overall vibe? Mercury tribute? Ritz maybe?

I was listening to that Live album at work yesterday😂 One of the most iconic shows ever, what a crowd...

I'd say GNR's most recent Buenos Aires show looked fucking rowdy too, shame about the vocals tarnishing things...

Those clicks and pops you all mentioned (and I thought I'd never notice!) are all over the last bit!

I'm not a big one for worrying too much about production and mixing nuances....but even to me this sounds mixed terribly, especially the drums.

    What a wasted opportunity. Again.

I echo these sentiments wholly... Holy shit this b(r)and is regressing more with each half-arsed and delayed release

Fernando is a little spoiled brat who never had to do real work in his life but got everything handed to him because his mother hit the jackpot. He probably never experienced someone saying no to him, and especially after getting the manager job, he established a god complex, thinking he's the king of the world who gets to have everything. Even if it means by force, because Fernando doesn't take no for an answer. He's an absolute embarrassment and I hope he gets fired and his wife divorces him. It's been shameful enough that this little fucker got to be where he is the past years.

It's great to say we can finally agree on something, bravo!

Id argue it’s worse than pathetic, it’s actively disgusting. They are basically ignoring her claims, trying to paint her as a money grabber AND saying she was treated well. specifically saying she was “paid and treated well” comes off as a giant middle finger to the sexual harassment allegations. It’s gonna get bad

'Sorry for the allegations... here's a whole original completely unheard album featuring Izzy Stradlin' is the only trick up their sleeve to sweep this one under the rug

This week, I just saw Metallica. Although I "only" went to one show, they had a 2- night extravaganza for casual fans and diehards, alike where they played new songs, deep cuts, and hits all dispersed throughout 2 completely different sets (and I still felt completely satisfied with the one show). Each set was concise, flowed well, and sounded really good. They have the "snakepit" section with the best spots for fans who can win in their fan club contests. They put out a map on social media of each city they are in with cool landmarks from their past and local businesses that have cool things to do. They have a pop- up shop with exclusive merch. James can still sing and sounds great without forcing his voice to do things it can't do. GNR can't even claim the affordable ticket argument, because tickets to Metallica were affordable to.

This week, GNR gets sued because Axl's housekeeper's son (fucking LOL)- turned manager is a sex creep.

Why did I choose GNR to be the band I am like this with? :wow:

Disgusting. Throw him in the trash

Felt the exact same way ever since seeing them in Amsterdam for the first time this year!

Look for it during the next dozen times you watch the clips.

Fine. Spend it on things that inevitably disappoint you lol. Seems healthy. Logical too.

I also agreed with how the sound gets better as the show goes on, it's not that I don't enjoy it, because I always will, it just should be better and can be with more preparation.

Again, stop berating me for having a perfectly valid opinion verging on fact, and less of the dick riding
