There would be something magical about that, not a bad idea really and would be a complete change over last night!
They should do something like this...it would be so awesome I'm sure everybody going tonight would love it.

Aren't they going to do an acousic set tonight? or was that just a rumor? has anyone confirmed it? it would be awesome if they went with the 1993 with the ''living room'' set...Axl could just sit on the couch the entire show.

SLITHER
Why not? I think i read somewhere maybe you can confirm it that slither was supposed to be a GNR song... I would love to hear Axl sing it.

In my opinion contray to popular belief. Axl has aged pretty damn well that or he's taking some secret magical rejuvenation pills because damn...he looks completly different from 2014...even better then he did in 2010...he looks like a mix of 1991 and 1988... Axl looks ready to kick ass this summer and after this broken foot it will only make him more motivated and hungry. I remember when I broke my foot in highschool i got cut from the basketball team, the next season I made varsity that is how hungry I was to impress everyone. I can't fucking wait for tonight and San Diego this summer.

Venue will pull the plug if the crowd gets too rowdy.
what a bunch of nazis.

My guess is Melissa was hired to help fit in with a younger more trendy 21st century fanbase....coachella is a hipsters territory and GN'R does not fit in with that crowd not in 1988, 1992 definitly not in 2016... so what do they do? they find somebody young to help them fit in and try to win over the hipster crowds that will be attending coachella and potentially other future shows this summer. Genius marketing if you ask me. I could be talking out of my ass but that is just my take on why Melissa was hired.

Begging Axl and Slash to go on his show..lol

I hope they do spontaneous setlists like back in the day... like even when they didn't know what they would perform next... That would be awesome. I like having Slash and Duff back in the line up it takes stress, pressure, spotlight off Axl now that people want to see the 3 of them and not just Axl. Good times are ahead.

Some of you might disagree with me here but I think they should drop some of the apetite songs and play more Use Your Illusions songs especially the ones that have never been played live like don't damn me, garden, locomotive, breakdown...and play others like coma, yesterdays, dead horse, right next door to hell, shotgun blues etc...I'm sure tons of people would love to hear those and it would be an upgrade nonetheless.

That's what I keep saying! The venues are fucking massive haha. I can't imagine what kind of stage design they're gonna have.... it's new territory for the band for sure. Stadium shows now are a lot different than 25 years ago.
Most of these stadiums are fucking domes! 85k-125k max capacity stadiums. I mean in Latin America they could easily sell out stadiums that big with this line up... But can they do this in the United States in 2016? is the question. Let's hope Axl, Slash, Duff and the rest of them and management know what they're getting themselves into here.
-
Looking at some of these stadiums that GNR will play in this summer...It has me wondering if they can really sell those beasts out to max capacity? these are mega stadiums... I know they can pull this off because they have done it before...but would'nt it make more since to release a small EP of new songs similar to Lies? I love that they're motivated to sell out mega stadiums again...maybe they will release something before July...still some months to go before the big tour starts.

Sad to see such a talented man go down like this.

From all the clips I have seen Slash seemed to have very little energy. He just walked around like a zombie in all the clips I have seen. He doesn't seem to be enjoying himself or the music. Maybe that is due to the small stage.
On the bright side, Axl sounds great, as does the music. Can't wait to see them in Nashville!
Yeah it's probably really awkward for him performing with GNR especially Axl again after so long... he needs to find his place and find a rhythm where he's comfortable. This is only the first of many shows to come...he will only get better from here.

Seeing Axl without the handlebar moustache sunglasses and stupid cowboy hat is great.makes him look infinitely better
Yeah I actually like this look on him...Tshirt, Leather jacket, Flannel shirt tied around the waste, jeans...it's classic and modern. Whoever dressed Axl for this tour get's an A in my book.

He wasn't 50 either. I've been as hard as anyone on Axl over the years, but if you think he's going to be able to sing the way he did forever, you're just not being realistic.
- Maybe slash will talk Axl into getting a personal trainer.
Just a thought
