Coma - Omaha 1993-04-10*
Very likely to be original vocals.
Overdubbed vocals: 0%
No bootlegs or other known recordings of this show circulate publicly.
*This is believed to be from Omaha 1993 because of three factors.
First, an audience recording claiming to be of this show sold on Ebay around 2010 had Coma as part of the track listing.
Second, Axl claims they haven't played Coma in "probably a year or so" in the beginning of this track which lines up well with the previous known performance being the one in Chicago (1992-04-09).
Third, there's a local Omaha newspaper article from 1993 which mentions Coma being played there.Fourth, I was there and can confirm that this was Omaha. I remember Axl's banter before playing.

Could be Vanessa too.
I don't like the guy, but what he said about music being some kind of a drug is really what I think too.
Who is Vanessa to Axl again?
Also, listen to that whole episode man. There's plenty of great discussion.

How it all went down. Can anyone take a guess on who this woman was?

They are vacuuming the stage. They are..... vacuuming......the stage.

Hope that shit moves northward and misses Kauffman.

I wanna know why Axl referred to the Chicago crowd as "Potato sandwich eating motherfuckers" back in 92. Did he think he was in Pittsburgh?
-
I was at the Omaha 4/10/93 show. They played Coma. A great night.

Nobody. That tone was awful. Slash should be ashamed and should be fired by both Les Paul and Marshall.

Is this the most isolated we have heard Axl's singing voice in the current era? It's not that bad. 🤷🏻♂️

Man, people hate Joe Rogan for absolutely no reason, it's quite comical actually.
The same people to easily shun him for a headline (WRITTEN BY SOMEONE ELSE) that may or may not be true are also the same people that wouldn't be able to listen to a 3 hour long podcast by him and form their own opinion on the man.
I've listened to Joe since 2016 and have gone back and listened to some of his shows before that. He's no stranger to musical guests: it started with a small local band Honey Honey, but eventually led to him interviewing the likes of Everlast, Paul Stanley, Maynard James Keenan, Henry Rollins, Steven Tyler, etc etc the list goes on.
The whole idea of the show is like a bunch of college students smoked pot and had a stream of consciousness that they recorded. For those of you that have never had that experience, the common denominator of it is: WHAT IF. and thats where a lot of these "JOE ROGAN SPREADS DISINFORMATION..." headlines come from. "WHAT IF x, y, or z happened?"
I think if you gave 3 hours with Joe and Axl, Slash, or Duff in a room, you'd come out with more info then when you started.
He just had on Anthony Kiedis recently. And RHCP fans hated because it shows too much of the regular guy side rather than the rock star mystique. People got to realize, JRE is not an interview. It's a conversation that could go anywhere.

Hopefully Axl and co. have much better sense than to ever affiliate with Joe Rogan's show in any way lol
Here we go. 🙄

Is Slash playing a Squier on DnB?

The reason for this is because it was shot on film. This is probably one of the few instances of it by the band since it's fairly expensive and wouldn't have been feasible then for a whole tour and before the advent of digital recording that could record in high resolutions.
My favorite example of what you said is the Last Dance documentary of the 1998 Chicago Bulls. They filmed a bunch of footage for that originally for an IMAX movie called Michael Jordan to the Max which came out in 2000. They dug out a lot of unused footage for the 2020 documentary and it's amazing how stuff from 1998 looks like it happened recently.
When I watched The Last Dance, one of the first thoughts I had was, if GnR ever releases a documentary on the UYI Tour, it would be cool if it's released just like THIS.

The way they took 1991 camera footage and remastered it to look like it was filmed last week was impressive. An HD version of the 1988 Ritz would be sick AF.
BTW I'm glad they kept that clip of Matt Sorum drumming while having a disturbed look on his face while staring into the audience. It's almost as if he spotted a large male in a leather jacket and sunglasses, walking through the crowd wielding a shotgun.

Pretty much just the YCBM video without the T2 cutaway footage.

I can't find a quality version of Izzy's playing of the song.
-
The UYI albums cannot be celebrated without the legendary UYI Tour. That is what made GNR so interesting during this time period. Unlock the vault already. Release the "Perfect Crime" documentary already.

not Ritz '91 but I'm pretty sure the "new" music video of YCBM will be on the YouTube Channel... it's just the music video without the TM2 scenes because of the license. I'm damn sure
That would be lame AF.

Why did they have to cut such a great song.Cut it??

I think his early 91 shows did the most damage.

Any chance YCBM Ritz 91 video gets released on their YouTube channel to promote the box set?

Not the live shows that I wanted. But I'll take it.

Maybe he travelled to the Amazon and had a profound ego dissolving Ayahuasca experience.
