"I do like playing the few new songs we have — 'Hard Skool' and 'Absurd' and 'The General' and 'Perhaps'."
'the few new songs we have' This reminds me a bit of random interviews 94 onwards.
To be fair, he started with Rocket Queen, November Rain and then he mentioned "... the few new songs we have ...", but I get your point.

He should straighten the sha-na-na-na-KNEE ... KNEE, rather than bending it. Bending is cheating in this stretching exercise and it makes it look as if rather than as is. You can't get as high with a straight sha-na-na-na-KNEE ... KNEE as with a bent one.
But still pretty good.

The sexual harrassment may or may not have happened, but it sure makes media more interested about this case, it's trendy.
It is and it's classical #metoo - territory.

On the one hand, yes, that's what I am fearing as well, on the other hand, like I said before, German band Rammstein faced equally heavy, if not even heavier allegations and they keep on touring and functioning as a band as if all this never happened.
This case has been something completely different. Lindemann was suspected of drug- and sexual crimes. None of this could be proven. There has been no evidence of sexual acts against the will of women, no evidence of drugging them before and no evidence of having misused his position against underage sexual partners. According to the public prosecutor's office, the information given by witnesses in the press reports was not confirmed by the investigation. Possible victims had not contacted the law enforcement authorities, but only - even after the investigation became known - to the media. However, the journalists invoked their right to refuse to testify. The whole thing was very strange.

Also as @Axl_morris pointed out in the other thread, are you really gonna forgive a child molester? Forgive doesn't make sense, it is pretty much the most despicable thing you can do on this planet
I don't understand it as forgiving a child molester, but forgiving himself he "never took the time to forgive all those unspoken feelings", cause that's the only way out.
I mean, he comes from a naive
"Daddy don't, I swear I won't, I'll be good from now on and I'm awful sorry" - which shows, he initially gave himself the blame for being molested
to a hateful
"Daddy don't, the hell I won't, I won't be good anymore and you'll all be sorry" - This isn't a naive child anymore, but a hateful human being wanting revenge, driven by unspoken, hidden feelings, that formed his fate/life after. The naive child is traumatized and can't cope with the situation. The molest is somehow burned into body and soul of the child, without the possibility to control it nor to get rid of it, but still it controls every aspect of his life.
"Can anybody tell me, why the pain it just won't stop, can anybody help me, this pain it just won't stop." - The source of this pain lies buried somewhere between the - if you want it like that - killed soul of this child and his psychological repression mechanisms. It simply hurts too much. You're not able to deal with it, to get to its source. Hence you're a passenger only within your own life.
So what's the solution:
"My only regret is that I never took the time to forgive all those unspoken feelings" - This is a life confession, that you need balls to get to. It somehow reminded me of Johnny Cashs cover of Nine Inch Nails Hurt shortly before his death. It's somehow completely different, but also similar in the end.
"Don't know what to tell you now, It's never really what they tell you now ... and so on" - There's nothing more to say about it, because you can't make it undone, you simply can't undo it. But what you can do, is learning to cope with it. You need time for this, because this will be a long process to go through, as you'll have to relive the molest and the shame of its consequences. You need to take over responsibility for your actions either way.
Or as Live Like a Suicide already put it:
On 11/7/2023 at 4:53 AM, Live Like a Suicide said:His experiences had such a negative impact that his subsequent feelings weren't spared on anyone, even those who understood his pain. To put it simply, he took his anger out on people, even those who didn't deserve it, and he regrets that
But I don't only think he regrets having taken his anger out on people, but having wasted so much time of his life and having never taken the time to really deal with all of this in all its consequences. As I already said, in the end the solution lies only within someone but not outside. It's the only thing you can change. Having gained this knowledge, you also need to forgive yourself, cause it could possibly break you a second time, so to say.
As happy as he appears for some time now, he found his way out.
What about the music?
Some said, there is no climax, no taking off, repeating verses and so on. I think it matches the lyrics. It's like running in circles until you find the solution. Regret and forgiveness can light up the dark (that sounds cheesy as fuck, but still) and this is a very dark song. It's the only song, that I listen to in my car. It's that intensive, there's none coming close right now. It's not so much the music or the lyrics itself, but the feeling that it gives me. I can relate to that, because it's real - one can feel, what he feels. In that regard to me it's a great song and that's what art should be about.

He hasn't been yet. I'm not loving the wig
I see, this could be the reason. I have to admit, I wasn't interested enough to find out for myself. The wig looks like a helmet, it's huge.

I don't know if it's working in the right direction, as he's talking slow as fuck - or is it just him, is he seriously sick? To my understanding he should be a little more vital after this treatment. - Maybe I'm getting it wrong.

Does anyone know the meaning behind or of this shirt?
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed immaturity. Immaturity is the inability to use one's understanding without guidance from another. This immaturity is self-imposed when its cause lies not in lack of understanding, but in lack of resolve and courage to use it without guidance from another." Immanuel Kant
In easy words: "Dare to know!" "Have courage to use your understanding!" - "Kill your Idols" - https://donelan.faculty.writing.ucsb.edu/enlight.html

No, not necessarily, it's more about (organized) religions and it's possible consequences onto peoples minds and lifes.
That's my understanding put in a nutshell.

Got a question for someone who has more knowledge of the recording....Off the Live Era-'87-'93 album, Leading into Estranged, Axl says...
"It's a nice happy song, kind of like a walk in the park...uh...The sun coming through your window in the morning, it's a beautiful day, and you've got nothing better to do than commit.....____ _____???"
What does Axl say at this point? Sounds like something muffled or slurred?? I've never been able to make it out, and one version I've heard actually censors his speaking at this point. I'm sure someone out there knows. Thanks in advance.
"... and you've got nothing better to do than committing harum-scarum soul." - ... in the sense of acting impetuous, irresponsible, uncontrolled or unpredictable although there's no real reason to do so, cause everything is fine or stronger perfect until then. In a way it's a careless mistake caused by a fickle soul, when dealing with interpersonal relationships such as f.e. love. I you want to put it positively, we're talking about an oversensitive person dealing with personal demons. At least that's the way I've always thought about it regarding the song following ('Estranged').

I don't know, if these are the right terms.
He made the right decisions thoughout the last years. He got that all working and talking to Slash after all that shit and all these years. That's not easy!! Remember ACDC in which he had not been the boss. He delivered very well. I have to say, he delivered more, than I thought he was capable of. So, that alone is a legacy to be proud of.

i don't know, but Atlas isn't really bad. It's just like Jacky is another song and I hate to admit it, but Tools Fear Inocolum is by far superior. It's another league. That's my opinion. Do I think, GNR couldn't get it better? No I don't, but right now it is as it is.

I don't know guys; give Duff a break. He's the one that turned around the most of them all. Maybe he had a drink or two, but that doesn't take away from him, he connected with Axl first of them all / being it a coincidence or not. And please don't compare him to Prince, cause it doesn't do any justice to him nor the other guys.

He started travelling when he was 17/18, and probably started living on and off in Hollywood from 1980.
Axl: "I've been out here [=Los Angeles] on and off since '80, and then I was in here straight from '81, you know solid" [Interview with Steve Harris, December 1987].
He moved back to Lafayette in the summer of 1982, though, and then returned to Hollywood with his girlfriend Gina in December 1982.
