Well, shit. That setlist was absolutely unreal. Wow. I’m impressed.
I wonder if they’ll stick to a setlist like this for the rest of the tour or if they are going back to the usual stuff.
-
Wow, this setlist is a trip. Definitely the most unusual setlist they've played since they reunited with Duff and Slash.
The folks who rolled up to hear the "hits" must be thinking "wtf is this"

That intro with the tank should be about 10 mins shorter 😳

plus Wichita Lineman and with Attitude instead of New Rose & Patience instead of Don't Cry
They played Wichita in Denmark too, even though it’s no longer on setlist.fm for some reason. So yeah, basically the same 3 hr set - just with Patience instead of Don’t Cry.

Why is Wichita Lineman listed on Setlist.fm ? Who makes these setlists ?
They did play it (unfortunately).

Here is my video of Nightrain. It’s in iPhone portrait mode, sorry. I was mostly filming the big screen. Really solid performance

On my way home now.
Wow! What an incredible performance. Axl killed it tonight. He seemed to be in great spirits, even cracking several jokes along the way. And there were no technical issues this time that I noticed anyway. Sound was great overall.
Slither was slightly better than Berlin and Shadow Of Your Love was awesome!
I could have done without Wichita Lineman, and the fact that they still play Black Hole Sun is a little weird.
I was pleased to see Coma and YCBM back in the set. I also loved hearing Don’t Cry
Only downside is that the support sucked, and Guns hit the stage about an hour later than scheduled, so I almost missed my (nightrain) home. But great evening! 🤘

I just caught a glimpse of the setlist and Slither was definitely on there. I could have sworn I saw Madagascar too 😮

Interesting.
This doesn’t look like a show specific setlist though but rather one they will use for the whole tour, hence all the alternates.
Apparently the show last night was so short due to the 10pm curfew. It’s just strange that they didn’t go on stage earlier then. The following shows will most likely be about an hour longer, unless Axl is indeed sick or whatever..

Dave Grohl to Rock Am Ring crowd: "My throat is fucked up, help me sing!" He's been rough the rest of the show.
Jesus, is there something in the German water?
Indeed. Their set was like 5 songs shorter tonight compared to two nights ago.
-
Something is definitely up. They skipped a lot of songs. For the Denmark show next week, they are scheduled to play for about three and a half hours. I assume the same was the plan for Berlin tonight.
23 songs is a long set for most bands, but Guns played 37 songs at their previous show. That’s a huge difference. They even skipped The Seeker! 😮
-
So who is watching the Foo Fighters livestream from Rock am Ring in half an hour? 😂
Seriously though, it’s pretty awesome that Guns N’ Roses just did a cover of Slither 👍
-
As much as I want to hear Slither, I think they will largely stick to the same setlist as the North American leg of the tour last year :/

Why the domain FM? Unless they are moving to the Federated states of Micronesia, couldn't it mean another GNR radio type of thing connected to AFD? Of course since they are always late, they missed the anniversary by a year.
Gnr.com is taken Seriously though, it is weird that they use a FM domain.
I don’t think it’s an AFD5 reunion, sadly. If it is the timing is odd with the Euro tour coming up soon. Would Izzy and Steven join that tour? Unlikely. And if they joined for a US trek after Europe, and announced it now, I think the European fans would feel a bit miffed..
I think the billboard is just a teaser for more US tour dates coming soon.

Guess the encore had to be shortened due to the MSG curfew. Hope we get TWAT and Don't Cry on Sunday, if we have to choose.
So sad they didn’t play Don’t Cry tonight. Especially since they have played both that and Patience at most shows lately. Damn curfew.

I can’t believe how small the pit is.
30 mins to showtime and there’s like 10 people in pit 1. Never seen anything like it!!

In relation to the cash grab..
Do you work for free or do you get paid so you can pay our bills, feed your famliy, pay your rent or morage...
Its their job and its how they make a living..
These guys are just like us. They need to provide for themselfs and there families...
In the first half of 2017 alone, the tour grossed $151.5million. Before they reached Asia last year, they had grossed $230 million. So, you know, I think they're ok for money. Their family will not go hungry for a few months at least

I've only heard a few clips so far (going to check out the full recording now) but it sounds like it was a great show. It's nice to have a soundboard from this tour.
That being said, I think it's such a missed opportunity that the band did absolutely nothing to mark a huge milestone - the 30th anniversary of AFD. It was a standard NITL setlist, as others have said, and the show had no surprises whatsoever. Did Axl even say anything about AFD on stage? What was the point of the show, if not to do something special that was related to the anniversary? As it stands it was just another stop on the tour, albeit on a small venue. I'm sure the lucky fans who were there had a great time. It's just a shame that they once again dropped the ball.
I assume nothing is happening today, the actual anniversary of AFD?

Just got back from the show. For the most part I thought it was great. Axl’s vocals at first were very prominent in the mix and he sounded amazing. I was pleasantly surprised. Later he struggled a lot though, especially with Coma. It was a nice twist to hear that song again!
The setlist is.. interesting. I could have done without Hard Skool, Absurd and Prostitute.
Axl was in the best mood. He seemed really happy to be here, and he made jokes and told that random story from his school years. At several points it seemed he wanted to talk more and then the band just launched into the next song 😂
The birthday song for Dizzy was cute. I shot this video of it:
