  1. Born to Run is generally considered his best album, and is a must have for and Boss fan.

Nebraska is brilliant, but its demo tapes and only contains Bruce himself playing and singing on it, incredibly raw. Fantastic lyrics.

The Wild, The Innocent And The E Street Shuffle is his 2nd album, and the one before Born to Run, while not as good as Born to Run its still amazing. Its quite jazzy too.

Darkness on the Edge of Town is the after after Born to Run. Its a much darker and more guitar based. Brilliant album and has some of his best lyrics.

  2. The Bodyguard

AND IIIIIIIIIIIII WILL ALLLWAYS LLLOOOOOVEE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

    hehehe joking.

I dont really have one, the Forrest Gump one was a good at capturing music from that era.

  3. I would take a Line 6 over a Solid State amp or a crappy Tube Amp.

Line 6 really have their digital emulation nailed.

But the reason i use a tube is because you just can't reproduce the sound of a quality tube up turn up to 11 where it really starts to open up and saturate.

  4. Well Marshall is the classic rock amp of course.

Clapton, Hendrix, Townshend etc all used it and made it famous.

But they have been used so so so so much its hard to get an original tone from them.

Ssiscool, i've only played an AC-30 reissue once and it was fucking awesome!

But i'm really digging Fender amps, i love Neil Youngs brutal tone gets from them.

  5. Thunder Road

Great performance of the song, though my favourites were Kitty's Back and Jungleland.

The problem for the album Born to Run is that its production was such high quality. So some of the songs played live can seem to lack something. Thunder Road is better stripped back i think, but i think Jungleland struggles live.

His best album live was Darkness on the Edge of Town, watch videos from that tour. A fucking Mazing. Prove it All Night rocks.

  6. Well, you hadn't realized the lyrics were shit before?

It had not occured to me.

 never cease to amuse me ODS :D

I've never been a huge fan of Aerosmith. American rock bands always seem to me to lack something the British ones did.

  7. Townshend and Daltrey have just released a new album without Entwistle and Moon..... How do they dare to call themselves The Who ?

    Why shouldn't they?

I'm sure John and Keith would want them to keep on going. Besides, The Who is Pete Townshend, he writes all the songs, he can do whatever he wants with the band.

    Its a great album too.

The Who without Keith Moon is like a Lamborghini without the engine.... And no Entwistle either ! he's been replaced by an Italian session musician that used to play poppy crap ! The Who without Moon and Entwistle.... What kind of concept is that ? That's ridiculous !

The Who don't belong to Townshend. The Who belong to history. To the fans. To the legend. Nobody can fuck with that. Page and Plant understood it : when Bonham died it meant the end of Led Zeppelin. Page and Plant played together again several times but it wasn't Led Zeppelin. That's why I respect Page and Plant so much.

Of course you cant replace Kieth and John. They are the greatest rythym section of all time. John died just before a whole US tour was about to start, you can't cancel a WHOLE tour of the US.

The Who are still awesome live with Ox and Moon. Why should they stop playing? playing live is the essense of The Who, and Datlery and Townshend love doing that, its their passion. John and Kieth would never want them to stop them doing what they love just because of their deaths.

I love Entwistle and Moonie, but The Who are bigger then their members, so long as Townshend is still in there, its still The Who.

And you can't compare Led Zep to The Who. Led Zeppelin were burnt out falling apart even before Bonhams death.

  9. The Who are a fucking awesome band!

For me they are the ultimate rock band, they represent everything about it and what it stood for. I mean come on, you can't get more rock that Pete Townshend.

Their best album IMHO is, The Who - Who's Next. Quadrophonia, and Tommy are awesome too.

But to really hear what The Who are really like, you need to get The Who Live at Leeds, quite possibley the greatest live album of all time, crank it up loud!

Hehehe and also check out this performance from Rolling Stones Rock N Roll Circus.

The Who - A Quick One While He's Away

    Awesome stuff.

Quadwhachamacallit is a movie right? are they in it? and that footage is awesome! can't take ur eyes offa keith moon. whats the famous thing where he blew up his drums from?

They got a Movie/Documentary called The Kids are Alright. It kicks ass.

  11. I almost forgot some of the best ones by Neil Young :

    My my, hey hey

Rock and roll is here to stay

    It's better to burn out

    Than to fade away*

    My my, hey hey.

Out of the blue and into the black

They give you this, but you pay for that

And once you're gone, you can never come back

When you're out of the blue and into the black.

The king is gone but he's not forgotten

This is the story of a johnny rotten

It's better to burn out than it is to rust

The king is gone but he's not forgotten.

    Hey hey, my my

Rock and roll can never die

    There's more to the picture

    Than meets the eye.

    Hey hey, my my.

    *Kurt Cobain's last words

"From Hank to Hendrix" is great too.

Love that song, been getting Neil Young alot lately,

The version from Rust Never Sleeps is awesome.

  12. Advice??

    Don't get one

Hehehe joking, they aint all that bad really. The Pickups and all the hardware are shit though, so if you want a decent guitar, replace them.

Also have a look at the Epiphone Dots, i reakon they are much better than the Les Pauls, their tone has more charecter, and is more versitile. Plus they look damn cool.

  13. Rock is being yourself, if you believe thats gone, go listen to the Strokes

Don't get me wrong, i love all new music, and i buy alot of it. The Strokes are brilliant i think.

But you just can't say "rock is being yourself" thats just silly.

Rock was a culture more so than the music, and that is long gone.

  14. Rock was built on a backlash to conservatism in England, and an opposition to the Vietnam War in America, during the 60's. It was the voice for that generation, and it can never be relived like it was back then because music was so unexplored and everything was ground breaking back then. Evetything has been done now days, any protest song sounds cliched. Rock lost its power in the 70's and became commercial and bloated.

Sure you can have Rock music now days, but rock as a culture is dead.

    Just how i see it.
