Rosie rocked so glad they played it, saw Axl sing it with ACDC and dare I say I preferred the GNR version!

@metalms looks like you situated yourself well. The strange thing is that the people in the first 7 rows were the most eager to leave. I would say the first 10 rows literally started streaming out. Security and ushers were super active at the front of the floor, there was a cool guy in front of me who asked a security lady to get off the platform so we could see so she went to a 1 leg stand. Anyeays, the band I would say put on one of their best shows. Axl sounded really good. Slash was just insanely good and Richard is one talented player, of course Duff too. Axl really goes all in for Knockin on Heavens Door, pretty damn mesmerizing. I talked to another guy in front of the hotel who said 2 shows he tried to attend in the 90s were canceled and that he was ejected from Madison square garden on his 3rd attempt to see GnR, so he was happy he finally got to see the band. It was good talking to others who attended , we debriefed regarding the issues then went into a GnR music discussion.
That makes me sad. I was telling my friend I would give anything to be up there. Its a shame some of their biggest fans don't have the bigger bank accounts. Even fans I talk to who consider themselves super fans I am shocked at how little they know about the band.. Made me realize I am a total GNR super geek compared to others
It is great to party and have fun, but I never understood why you would want to get so messed up you can't even remember the show... I mean isn't that the reason you are there for the band the music. If I wanted to get so wasted I would just stay home and puke on myself not invest hundreds and then ruin my time and everyone else's. I agree though best show on the tour I have seen musically and that setlist! any songs I wanted to hear last year they didn't play they played..
I try not to focus on the a holes but the good people I meet and there are always those good people. like the two brothers I saw embracing in philly the one crying because he was so overjoyed to see GNR for the first time... these fans are my people not the jerks who decided to act like a 17 year old at a keg party,,

@metalms I saw Slash's handstand , he has done that at some shows . It cost me an elbow to the rib but glad he was into it, haha!
hahaha! yes it was a great show which made some of the "other issues" a little more tolerable. I did not see the person who collapsed either from my view point. Hopefully your elbow to the rib is feeling better my friend! we all have our concert "war' wounds.

It wasn't a bad time , it was just very different than the other shows. The band was great but the ushers and security were constantly complaining and blocking the view, I had inside isle seats. The vommiting and urinating were disruptive, lol! I talked to a guy outside the hotel last night and he said someone died . That he fell over and wasn't moving and security carried him right in front of the stage and hardly anyone noticed . Maybe he passed out but the guy telling the story said he was certain he died, I hope not. I saw a lady being taken out in a wheelchair but she was wasted and puking on herself. A lady took her pants down and urinated. Another lady hit random people on the head for no reason. Someone else mentioned the crowd was not that into it and I have to agree, they were shoving to leave and yelling to go before the encore so I had a stream of people pushing past who wanted to get out of there so it was hard to watch when people are in your face . Entire isles were pouring out before the bow and yes, I wanted to stay until the end. I tried my best to ignore it all and focus on the band. Always glad to see GnR and will go again for sure.
Wow! that's awful! I didn't see this going on from where I was...the staff were overwhelmed. So many rules they posted pre show but no way of enforcing them. Vomiting and urinating are never a highlight! uggh!

Amazing show last night. Took about two hours to get to the stadium from the Philadelphia area. We arrived and we parked in the tailgating lot which was basically a grassy field about a mile walk from the stadium. My friend and I hung out and talked GNR with two guys who drove 4 hrs in from Ohio parked next to us. We "pregamed" the show for a bit enjoying one of the best weather days at a concert, cracking a few cold ones. In the low 80's and then 70's at night with a clear sky.
We made the long walk to the venue. The lines weren't horrible getting in. they do have metal detectors. Once we were in however the lines were a different story.
I was shocked at how very little had changed and the lack of stadium upgrades since the last time I was there 20 plus years ago. My first ever GNR concert was here after all, June 1991 to be exact. We walked to our seats, and they were absolutely HORRIBLE. Section M on the floor... Sadly, this is my 3rd show on the tour so far, and these tickets were the most expensive. I have heard people say this is a great place to see a show, but unless you were super close the site lines were horrendous. The lighting rigs blocked your view in most cases. The concession lines were so long they stretched out to the seating areas causing issues and people stuck in long lines once the show started. I am going to admit something right here (please do not judge) but I decided like many other fans to take advantage of the situation... during Brownstone we ditched our seats. We decided we would have a better view standing on the "absurdly" long concession lines, which are strangely poorly designed and placed too close to the seating areas. They also seemed grossly understaffed at times, and we didn't see ushers checking tix in some sections, at least not at the start...
So we moved closer and stood by section E which was overflowing with people waiting for beer. we just stood there and watched at least 5000 people do the same. Security tried to regain control but telling people to go back to your seat if you are not buying beer was laughable, so they stopped trying and let the whole crowd watch from a section that was not even an official section or seating area and we were right at the front of that! I don't feel bad because they need to get it together for shows of this size..
The band really played hard and tight tonight. I have read some complaints about the crowd. I would say 50/50 ratio between really cool and into it and the other 50 complaining about traffic, let's leave now beat the crowds etc... eww.. lol leave early? never! Axl's vocals were very strong, lots of rasp and a very strong clean voice. He has his weaker songs but even yesterdays which I thought sounded too clean on the scopes, sounded better in person. It was great to hear songs I hadn't heard last year. Used to love her was a highlight... Slash in particular seemed energized tonight. Lots of big jumps and big solos... Probably the best I have seen him perform on this tour. During the introduction, the crowd cheered longer and louder for him.... The Johnny B good solo was off the chart a great edition in my humble opinion.
I was horrified during the bows people were already racing toward the door to beat traffic. We stayed and were rewarded with a treat. During the bow Slash was so pumped he did a handstand. I have a grainy pic of it. The band are smiling more, enjoying each other out there and Axl and the band seem energized. Leaving was terrible. Huge crowd I was walking with almost crushed because they had a barricade up that shouldnt have been and thousands of people bottlenecked liked rats...not a good look or situation. It was then I was glad this was a mellow crowd because if it was philly it could have been a very different story...We waited about an hour after the show ended, because the traffic lines weren't moving. Got home at 4 am...
One more show to go in October so that will be mixed emotions my fourth and most likely final show on this tour and its been an amazing ride! Last night made me realize they are so good and we need to enjoy this. very few bands I have seen can play to this level live. You could argue that I am coming from a fan girl or boy perspective, but I have seen a lot of shows in my 42 long years and very few come even close and last night this hit home with me. Emotional and fun night for me.

Did you like it better then Philly 2016?
I would have to say yes...setlist was better tonight for me.. The band seemed tighter and really enjoyed themselves tonight it was obvious a lot of smiles all around. Not the best venue imo to see a show which i will touch on later. Philly 2016 had more anticipation because it was the first show for me on this tour but as far as axls voice it was excellent tonight and the slash solos out of this world!

Long night just got home a bit ago but what a great show! They played with fire tonight and really sounded great. Slash particularly was playing out of his mind. Got to get to sleep but still wound up. Formal review to come 😄

Wow, that is saying something. Would've thought Green Day would have a better response than that. Even though I'm pissed off at Guns for their retail slime and their lack of care factor regarding new music, I am super pleased they have been received so well wherever they've gone and that this tour has proved the naysayers wrong. I wonder what the 'worst' turn out has been for the tour?
I heard the Canadian shows have been slow sellers but I cant think of a show where they had to close a section maybe pittsburgh...imo the telling thing is what they do after this tour I think u have to crawl before u can walk relationships need to mend before the creative process has any chance of happening..this tour is just that to me so im enjoying every moment and hoping I am right and they can come together to put out new music eventually after mending these fences. Thats not lucrative anymore but a person can hope right?
