I also think he does much better with the Bon songs, he sings rather than rasp/screams them and in a voice that I've not really heard before too. I just don't think I've heard Axl sing better live, from any era of GNR, than when he does If You Want Blood. Maybe the second part of Sin City too..

I would have loved them to add more Bon songs, I suppose that would be unpopular with ACDC fans though. Problem child should seriously be considered I think :)

I'm not keen on BIB either, I bought it years ago and virtually never listened to it after the initial first few spins. Power Age and High Way To Hell is a different matter.

but then...im a bit of a blues dude...

If You Want Blood was Axl's best of the whole AC/DC set imho. I'd dare to say that his performance beats Bon Scott's; Axl adds more meanness in it.

It's strange that while AC/DC fans think Axl does better on Bon's songs, most GnR fans here say that he is better on Brian's songs.

I agree with AC/DC fans, except for TNT which is a bit weaker; I don't know, maybe it's because the Brian Johnson era (BiB included) is not my cup of tea.

High Voltage  :)  ... and after that ....Hell Aint A Bad Place To Be ... but then again... whos wrong ?

I don't know man.... I've learned to love Angus through Axl because Angus brought us an Axl we haven't seen in a long long time. So we are thankful for that. At least, I am thankful to Angus for helping Axl shine in ways he didn't even know. Axl singing this true basic rock n roll brought back all that 70's vibe to my heart. It may sound too crazy but I'll say it anyway, when I hear Axl singing "Hell ain't a bad place to be" or "High Voltage" I can't help but hear him channeling Janis through his voice and body. You know, I'm a huge Janis Joplin fan, a psycho one, lol, and I'm convinced she lives in Axl's throat. But it's been a while since Axl channeled a Janis, because he hasn't sung real rock n roll in a long time, so these old ACDC songs are bringing back that lost vibe and that's why I'm so hooked on this AXLDC thing. I get so emotional when I hear those songs, I can hardly take it, I'm going nuts, lol. Well, I'm always over emotional and overwhelmed by the music I love but, ok, I got lost in my own train wreck of thoughts.... What I was trying to say is that, as a GNR fan, I don't care much for the reunion shows and I'd rather have a new album than a tour. I couldn't care less for Slash or Duff back just to play the same old songs. I want them back in the band to MAKE GNR MUSIC. And if Angus goes there first and puts Axl to record anything, I won't ask for his head, all the contrary I'll support it over any GNR boring tour. Just give me that man singing in an album again. It's been too fucking long since Axl released new music and he's been touring with his band for the last 10 years and more. That voice needs to be captured again, put out on a record, I don't care how they release it, just put new music out there, ffs!

    lol sorry

    i am mental :P

you know .... ive been thinkin that all the time watching this....  the man is rock n roll... i mean, real rock n roll ... like when he sings High Voltage, like you say its pure rock music.... and its like you can tell it by lookin on him that something is finally getting the chance to be let loose and come flyin out... clearly its a big part of his music soul....

And what yoy say about Janis ... absolutely ... specially the passionate and emotional screams of .. ooooaaaaaaaa... here and there in ex, high voltage ..

that is what surprised me the most ...not that he COULD do it vocaly, .... but that he sounded so blues like and had a real feel of rock n roll once it alla was a bit settled and they had found their groove as a band ...

sure wouldnt mind hearing hin and angus an co ... jaming away on some old chuck berry or little richard...

i can defenitely hera axl doin Luciiiiiiiille    :)

yeah, but I hope they can keep it going, because distance sucks and it deteriorates relationships. I know there's still the U.S. Tour but I'd love to know there are firm plans to make music with Angus and also that ACDC will release some of these shows for sale.

This can't end here. It's been too awesome to fade away like that.

i agree.... this .. break  is scary as hell ....  to much can happen ...

i would have liked them to just keep touring and make music while doin that and then ...

but then again ... he gotta do what he gotta do now... otherwise there would probably be a price on Angus head from the GNR fans ...

I agree, most of music day's suck. I do like some of the newer bands; Kings of Leon , Buckcherry and Queens of the Stone to name a few. I am a Rock Chick but I like most types of music but rock is my true love :)

of course there is good music now... i like alot of bands .... one is ex Rival Sons... i think Black keys are great ... its just that all the great big dinosaurs are dying...and it makes me sad .. because the music industri isnt what it was and its never gonna be that sort of time again (i think) when bands get to grow and become this big as the ones we love.. its all about money and product ... rock music though gonna allways be around... Elvis, ... ac/dc  :)  ...

i think both Springsteen and Dylan has said that if they were to come up as artists today they wouldnt make it,,,couse there first records wernt exacly commersial successes .... and there is no time given today to artists to develope ...

but music isnt about success either  its about playing ....the love of music itself...

as Angus said "i didnt join a band to be successfull, i joined to play the guitar"

LOL no I don't feed them out of my palm but they are getting used to me. they equate me with food so maybe one day :) the horses I do feed out of my hand. you hit upon something that I feel, when I look in their eyes I call it my soul moment, and yes I feel that magic. my friends think i'm crazy because they think i'm going to be stomped on or something but they are truly gentle creatures. I so agree about the seasons, i couldn't live where there weren't the four changes. you'd love it here because we normally have snow and it does sparkle, a better sparkle than any diamonds to me. there is a pinyon tree that looks like the perfect Christmas tree  front of my house, in winter it's complete with icicles and snow, it puts the ones people buy and decorate to shame.  so you're a drummer that's cool. I assume you've played in bands? I am not at all musically gifted but I love music so much. who is your favorite drummer and what is your favorite song to drum to?  so nice to chat with you, we seem to be on the same page in  lot of ways :)

Have you seen that documentary about the guy, or was it a couple, dont remember, could be it was but .. anyway .. they lived close and around a pack of wolves for about a year or so and then after that time they more or less becme part of the pack ... its one of the most heart warming things ive seen ... its just amazin ... I like wolves :) ..The horses, yes of course... they are from a different place ,, and they look at you like nothing else ... Ilike the way you describe your place .. i get a post card from the mountin thing in my mind .. and its a pretty one.... I could live i think were it was winter longer then summer ... i kinda like that sort of living more...you get cozy inside....a storm outside.. and then when its sunny and pretty and cold outside.... its breathtakingly beautiful ...

Ive played in many many many bands , ,.. played for 25-30 years ... mostly full time... not like i earned money or anything..but got to travel abit and play many big festivals in sweden and scandinavia for many many years ... alot of records to ... played all sorts ... i shouldnt say played...im not done...  jazz, rock, pop, blues, hard rock, latin, etc... all of it... but im a rock n roll guy .. grew up on Elvis and Chuck berry and all that .. so in a way ac/dc was a logic choise for me   ...

favorite drummer.... oh well .. i have to say phill rudd... couse it was when i started... and when he was at his best he had a groove to his beat like never ever anybody .. i think....  i like most everything though and everybody ... its just different levels of liking and loving...but as a drummer i like the groove the beat ... the simple stuff that perhaps is the hardest to do cause theres nothing to hide behind ...  but its allso another side to me as that drummer ..the one that plays improv jazz ... so .. its all music... and for me its hard to be a musician and to say that i dont like something ... its just different... music is music...

same page... yes... think so ... its nice ... i quess :)

Show was pretty cool. Everything youd expect from acdc. Axl was really on fire, at some point his rasp was hell. Something ive never heard before.

just came back from waiting about 2,5hrs in front of the hotel to see axl. They didnt show. They went in from the garage but didnt come out. Apparently axl and the guys were pissed the show wasnt sold out and didnt come out if the hotel because of that. Thats what a security guy told a chick who was waiting there also. But dont know if true..would wuck though.

but it was great seeing axl again. i love that guy. And some day i will meet him...

well if thats true  it couldnt have been that many empty seats .. and... sounds abit .. well ... why would they get pissed off at that ... sure didnt look empty  :)

Fuck off, GNR have more potential than AC/DC since 3 original members are back and they are younger, AC/DC is just Angus and if Axl decide to leave AC/DC is over.

ok....well just let me step of you toe there ... sorry ... didnt know it hurt ..

well they wont be over for me... so .. i quess... and im pretty sure if axl leaves it was probably not his own choise ,,,

but hey ... im hoping that whatever makes you happy ... will happen .. for real
