What is the difference between ACDC and GNR?

    ACDC

    GNR

    :rofl-lol:

    @killuridols

Grandpa Angus used to bear his arse on stage, so I don't think he will be that bothered.

You forget, Angus is the star of the show in AC/DC, Axl has to keep out of his way, and not throw mic stands about so he doesn't fall over it or get hit.  All Axl has to do is turn up on time, sing well and not get in Angus way.rock4

As a native San Franciscan, I take my sour dough bread very seriously- so I mean it when I say.... This is the best fuckin' GF bread in the WORLD  :headbang:

Thanks for the website, I have coeliac disease, and will be in California in September, I'm always looking for decent GF bread.  Hopefully will be able to find some.

Thank you both for the transcript!

I don't know what to say. Yes, it's not funny at all. And all the characterization of Beta is like... he makes her look and sound like an asshole. Much more to confirm she's actually an asshole.

What was the purpose of the joke? To say she's the one who fix cracks in broken bands?

Of course it's not. But it requires a lot of time to dig that deep and I think you said you didn't have time.

Erin's children live with her and that's all I'm gonna say about that whole "EE DV" bs.

It doesn't take much time, I had never heard of Todd Crew before.  I just googled his name and found out that he died in August 1987 due to a drug over dose in Slash's hotel room, took about 5 mins

  4. @KillYourIdols yes I am the one who had to google Axl Rose when he got the AC/DC spot.  Its not too difficult to find stuff out if you know how to use google, and have read this thread.  BTW in what way is the information about Erin presented in the wrong way.  Either she was arrested or she wasn't.

@Rock Hopper He isn't really a bible basher (he does manage rock bands after all lol), but yeah he's a twit. A pretty crazy one.

I'll never understand why people get so upset up religion. Whether its Axl playing with ACDC or people now getting upset about Slash's nun bestiality crap, I don't get it. I mean I don't think Slash's picture is cool either, but not because I'm offened or anything in my religious sensibilties. But then I'm an evil atheist so I'm going to hell anyway, right along with Axl, Angus and Slash. Gonna be fun.

I'm probably going to be joining you.  It's going to be a bit crowded is'nt it.

He said so himself. The video where he says that was also posted here in this thread.

If you really want to know all that stuff you keep asking about, I think you really should read this entire thread some time and then you'll know all about Axl getting upset about the kinky porn Buckethead was watching and Slash's fear of the dentist. Because people will also be too lazy to explain everything to you again when it was just talked about here recently.

Yeah, it's just that we recently talked about a crazy former GnR manager here, who said Axl was going to hell for playing with an "evil satanic band" like ACDC. That's what I was referencing

Yes, I saw that on the AC/DC board, something about playing under a pair of Devils horns with Angus. Bible bashing twit.

  7. I think Angus will carry on.  Cliff retiring is not a big shock, he is nearly 70, and has been with them since 1977.  He is rumored to be more deaf than Brian.  I'm glad that I will be seeing them in New York.  Think I will be bringing the Kleenex.

I don't know because I never got the magazine

First time I was able to read that interview was when I could put my hands on the Internet, lol. Now I am curious and would love to buy that issue but don't know how.

And I'm not sure the ripped jeans photos are from the same photoshoot where he's wearing the leggings? I'm confused about that :shrugs:

Try ebay or Amazon, there are often specialist sellers on there if you know the date of magazine you need.

  9.   Hi Kill your Idols, your AC/DC fan could be anyone.  I have seen whole families there enjoying the show, from grandkids to grandmas.  I wasn't comparing Sacha to Kate, only pointing out that pyjama suits are fashionable, whether you think it is a good look or not is debatable.  Personally I wouldn't be caught in my coffin in a pyjama suit.  Yes, I really did have to google Axl.  Sometimes life gets in the way of following singers you never really followed to start with.  Thanks for the suggestions re the music, looks like I will be busy on youtube.

What about the leather kilt??

    image.jpg

That kilt is a bit better on length, and the weight of the leather makes it hang better, but it does not have the swing of a cloth kilt.

Same as us then! Except the sunglasses, I'd let him keep the sunnies and bandana. The hats and jackets though

Who knows why he has to "costume change" every five songs!! It makes me laugh though

I saw AC/DC in Manchester, was the best show I've ever been to, wasn't expecting it to be so good but I had the best time.

Yes, the London show was great too.  Axl seemed to have lit a fire under the boys, they played better than I have seen in a while.  It's not that I don't like GnR's music, I wouldn't throw the radio out of the window if they came on.  I just don't know any of their songs beyond their main hits.  I will have to start listening one song at a time.  Where would you suggest I start?

Hey, welcome! It's great to have an AC/DC fan here :headbang:

Well, it's Axl, the clothes change has always been a part of him. Do you guys watch him with GNR as well? Because he didn't change his clothes that often with ACDC, just the hats/bandanas and new outfit for the encore, which is nothing compared with what he does with GNR :smiley-confused2:

Yes, burn the hats :anger: (and bring back the kilt)

Thank you for the welcome, you must remember, AC/DC fans are not used to the glamour of Hollywood types.  Our band just turn up and play in what they pulled out of their suitcase that morning (except for Angus of course) so any change in that routine is seen as new, therefore suspicious.  They have been like that since I have been following them (1978) As for the kilt, being a member of Clan rose Axl can of course wear one, but the one he had is a terrible example of our national dress.  It is too long and the cloth looks too lightweight, more like a womans dress kilt.  But I agree bring back the kilt, it would really suit him now he has, how can I put it, a fuller figure.  Kilts look really good on bigger men.

He has a cat t shirt on too

That is the leopard print hat I saw him wear, hideous!! At least some of the necklaces are gone. Looking back at those pics I really can't complain about how he dresses now.

I saw on the AC/DC board they were discussing Axls hair and how he should do something about and his clothes lol never seen them discuss things like that before

You are right, if it is the AC/DC board that I am a member of.  They do not allow much discussion on personal stuff to do with the band members or their families.  Axl has been a little different.  The general opinion has been burn the hats, get rid of the bling and sunglasses and much scratching of heads as to why Axl needs to change his clothes so often.

  14. Hello ladies, first time poster here, I've been lurking here for a few days, and had to make an account to continue reading.  I have to confess I was not a GnR fan, but an AC/DC fan, so you will have to forgive my ignorance on all things GnR and if I get my Izzys and Dizzys mixed up.  I had to Google Axl Rose when AC/DC announced that he was their fill in singer after Brian's hearing had deteriorated.  At first I was like "oh my god", but decided to go see them in London anyway.  Your boy Axl done good Ladies, in fact very good.  I am going to California in September and will be stopping over in New York for a couple of days to see them at MSG.

BTW, the woman in the pyjamas may not be the fashion idiot you think she is. Here is an article about Kate Moss wearing a pyjama suit to a Louis Vuitton show a couple of weeks ago.

If you fancy the look yourself, here's Vogue's advice on how to wear pyjama suits.
