  1. And I don't know where I'll be tonight but I'll always tell you where I am

Last time I was sober, man I felt bad, Worst hangover that I ever had

It took six hamburgers and scotch all night, Nicotine for breakfast just to put me right

Let your balalaika sing, What my guitar wants to say

  2. I'm not a Prince fan per say, I think he's extremely tallented and one of the few people I would say creates art out of music. He's just too much of a freak. Lotus Flower sounds like a good album though.

  3. I'm surprised there isn't more fans of Get Carter. Is it well known outside the U.K.? It's one of the greatest films in my eyes. Michael Caine has such a great catalogue of films:

 I'm sure there are. Including me.

    That's good to hear.

I want to watch Uncle Buck, i've never seen it in years.

    I love that movie :]

Yeah I loved it when I was yonger but havn't seen it in years. Another great actor gone before him time though (John Candy).

Love the drill scene its classic

Yeah it's the scene most people bring up. One of my favourite bit's is the golf club scene just after, and when I was a kid the part when they make the giant pancake.

  4. By "stick to their guns" - do you mean people who want to ignore facts that Axl presented because they're too embarrassed to admit they may have jumped to the wrong conclusion in the past when they hadn't heard both sides? I believe that's called - being in denial. I think people should hear and consider both sides in all of this - rather than hanging onto a view you held previously just because you don't want to admit you may not have had all the facts.

Well, Slash/Duff's view are the polar opposite of Axl's view with how everything went down. No facts given really, just different versions of the same event. In honesty, I don't see why one recollection of a story should be believed over another at this point. Food for thought nonetheless, but pointless to try to come to any sort of conclusion about what really happened.

It sounds like what Slash did to Scott. But with Axl, Slash lost... That is why I believe in Axl's side of the story.

What Slash did to Scott? Ok, this isn't the thread to get into that.

Anyway, everyone is entitled to "believe" whomever they want. It's cool to FINALLY get Axl's side, and he may disagree, but the truth IS always somewhere in the middle.

That's your belief. Without it, keeping that signature you have might be difficult.

:rofl-lol: So all of a sudden she should think everything Slash said was a lie.

Some people really are like sheep. If Slash told his version of the events does it make it deffiantly true? No. If Axl told his version of events does it make it deffiantly true? No.

You have your opinions but don't make it sound like everything is a fact all of a sudden (regarding this subject). Me, I'll probably just believe bits of what they both say or just go with the flow and see how it ends up.

I do think it's a shame however that Axl and Duff can't be on speaking terms again. I think Duff has been caught in the firing lines, and if VR never formed Axl might have been more welcoming to him, but who knows.

  5. Some people are hysterical. Your not fans your just blind idiots who are either to scared to disagree with him or are just dumb and think that every decision he makes is perfect, yeah I'm sure Axl appreciates that  Axl posting on the forums is probably one of the best gestures he's done towards fan and I'm grateful and happy he's doing it, but some of you just want to go around with your head in the sand and forget everything and just say "AxL YoUr GoD!!!11!!". Do what you want but that's my opinion on you.

I'm a fan, but Axl is not a God. He's an incredible singer and songwriter, and a bad ass motherfucker! I think he's sort of like a last in ways. He's the surviving bad ass in rock that always did what he thought he should do, isn't playing a part as he really is this way, and his integrity right there speaks for itself. Does he piss fans off a lot, sure. The ones who expect anything specific will always be disappointed, as you never know what he's going to do, which brings me full circle on above point. I DO think his decisions are all perfect, not always for the fans, but he's a guy with a psyche like you and me and has to do what he feels is right, so salut'.

As to you, with 5 Slash photo's in your sig, why come here and try to ruin the fun people are having as a living legend, their icon perhaps, reaches out to them personally in a HUGE way? What good does that do? Makes you feel you are the anti-fan, the only one with balls, though you are "grateful"? Yeah, that's really cool...stand up to Axl and tell him he's a dick for not promoting the cd yet or re-uniting with your signature, I'm really sure he'd appreciate that!

The first paragraph was pointless. And the second paragraph made me laugh as a lot of people like you do, as if being a fan of Axl and Slash is mutually exclusive. I don't care if they reunite I can watch old concert footage if I want to see that  If they do then cool if not then cool I get to be (here is the shocking part) a fan of both there works separately.

  7. Axl responded to me on the CD.com forum, basically just asking him about if he'd play Newcastle again despite people throwing shit, this was his response:

That wouldn't stop us from playing there again. And the whole throwing shit sucks and is pretty cowardly but the leaving I got at Donnington from Lemmy. When we 1st played :confused:Donnington I was so happy I had knocked a bottle of piss out of the air when Lemmy gave me a lecture how if another band got hurt because I allowed people to throw things at our shows I'd be responsible for other bands getting hurt. Whether real or there's an argument against that, I've never been able to have anything override that in my head, not even a riot and I don't know why.

If you're working hard and some cunt throws something so he can tell his buddies I don't see where it's worth it.

  8. Bp posted this
LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR: No requests about the old band. Please focus on what we have now.. which is chinese democracy!!

So no requests about reunions. this has already been addressed by management and Axl! we are here to talk about CD

    Sean

To me that is just daft. Sure people want to hear his views on CD but why the hell do people want to shield him from answering questions about the old days especially since Axl has never give his full views.

  9. As I said a few hours ago this was a major surprise and hope he does it again in the future, but I hope he also does a proper interview as well because flicking through the early pages people lost their heads and either said "Axl you suck" or "axl your god" how does either statement help  Just act normal/casual and hopefully we'll see him again.

It;s ironic though I was all excited about hearing the reunion rumours but now I just want to hear what the man has to say.

  10. Yes
YEEEHAR! THEN STRAP ME IN AND CALL ME RODNEY, IM GO'N MAKE A WOMAN OUTTA YA'LL

even still, axl rose is god dam fucking legend

Back on topic though, I found this the most interesting:

Not avoiding them here but they deserve more than I can give as we've been at this a little while. But I'm attempting to speak out on several issues these being a major focus over the coming weeks and months.

Sounds like Axl will be trying to get some things off his chest, which will be extremely interesting to hear, maybe he's finally going to start addressing all the myths, well I suppose in a way he has already begun to do that by posting on the forums.

  11. Just when you think nothing more surprising can happen then I wake up to this thread. It surprises me the amount of shit people have posted in this thread already though, wasted oppotunity perhaps? Sure I'm curious about certain things (one that pops to mind is why arn't things between "Dexter" and Duff more hospitable considering he seemed to leave albeit 10 years ago on good terms as opposed to other members), but I'd rather just watch and see what other people have to say.

Infact scratch that I got a question if it can ever be answered, will you return to Newcastle, England? (just under assumption you tour the UK again) I was there in 2006 and it would be a shame to let one idiot throwing pound coins about to spoil it for everyone else in the future.

  12. Watched american gangster last night, crowe and washington are two of the best actors going around, I was a bit shocked when washingtons character shot that guy in the head, I was thinking yeh He wont shoot him then bang! I was like wtf. Good movie though.

I'll have to remember this the first time I get to watch it.

  13. I think these may have been the first lyrics to Rock Star:

'Cause we all just wanna be big cock stars

...so I can suck myself off at the bar

The stiffness comes easy and the cum comes weak

We'll all stay skinny as we just won't eat (the cum)

    And we'll

Hang out in the coolest gay bars

In the VIP with the gay porn stars

Every good cock suckers gonna wind up there

And even me with the bleach blond hair and well,

Hey hey I wanna be a cock star

Hey hey I wanna be a cock star

  14. I can't be bothered to check the exact dates or versions (see my site if you want for that http://www.freewebs.com/destruction_bootlegs) But the ones that come to mind are (just thinking about the old GnR):

    CBGBs, NY, USA 1987

Middletown, NY, USA, 1988 (Love this show)

    The Ritz, NY 1991

    Toronto Canada 1991 (first night)
