I remember when the first leg of the US tour started and Axl sounded not as strong as around July/August and everyone here was losing their shit (including me), saying things like, "He shot his voice with AC/DC, Mickey is back, he sounds awful, he's not into it, it's a cash grab" etc. A week or two ago I had the sudden desire to rewatch the Troub show + a bunch of videos from all throughout the tour, and I stood in awe of my previous naivety. The band sounded amazing, Axl's clean voice didn't bother me at all and we should finally drill it into our heads that he is never going to sound like '87-'93 again. Subconsciously everyone's kind of hoping for that, and comparing his current vocals to that. Just stop. It's not going to happen. He sounds bloody brilliant for a 54 y/o man singing his ass off every night, and these past few SA shows also sound great, albeit with a few mistakes here and there. Compared to the US leg, he sounds weaker, yes, but in no way is it bad. The crowd is loving it, the band is loving it, and the only people who aren't are a bunch of eternally unsatisfied Periscope viewers.

I think @KeyserSoze put it best - this band isn't going to be around forever, and if you want to appreciate its last stand, then do so. If you really hate it so much, either get up there and sing instead of Axl, or just stop spreading so much negativity around. Do you have a clue how disconcerting and off-putting it is when you see all these people writing comments along the lines of, "he sucks, he can't sing, Mickey this, Mickey that, Mickeeeey"? Literally dissuades people from wanting to go to a show. And what for? I saw the comments before I'd seen any videos and thought it was a Bridge School-type of disaster, and it was nothing of the sort. They sound awesome, nowhere near perfect, but that's GNFNR for ya - the eternal misfits.

And let's not forget that Axl's most likely sick and that's the reason for his weaker vocals lately - I mean, they dropped friggin' Coma, there's definitely something wrong. Give him time...and just a little patience.

THAT´S  IT.  Great post, thank you!

... Lo mejor es ir temprano.

    Yes, ALMOST ready :max:

Can't believe such a short trip is giving me so much headache and requires so much organization.

Weather here is SUCKAGE so I don't know what the hell to wear. I still have to buy some last minute stuff.

I'm going to both shows, yeah but I'm also going for touristics purposes so I've been arranging all that shit too.

omg that comment made me laugh hard

Axl took a different plane I think, so no Duff or Slash at a table

Sure you will have a great time!  I´m like this: Envidia pura y dura!

  5. My Number One is Ritz '88, of course,

    2.  The Marquee, June '87

    3. GnR/Metallica/Skid Row  - RIP Party '90 ( Piece of me + Hair of the dog)

the later shows, one of the best imo is Rock am Ring, Germany , June  2006

Life would be tough for you

Haha, yeah life is tough for me but nothing to do with the cats I had or the two dogs I have now. Quite the reverse, they´re always there cheering me up and making life better (ok my first dog ate my very expensive pair of shoes and my first cat ruined all the curtains in the house:facepalm:, then I was really pissed off but today it makes me laugh thinking about it.  There will be always an animal around in my life.

Yeah, that's the one I meant. Thanks for posting.

Last sentence made me roll my eyes so hard. And I just hate how TB all suck up to AC/DC and meddle in their affairs. It's bad enough they get to do that in GNR, it's awful they're doing it with another band now too. Also hate how they constantly suck up tp Slash, Duff and their family members on social media now when they did nothing but shit on them for years until very recently. And Fernando's not just a fake slimy suck up, but also gross (the comments he leaves on the social media accounts of Slash's and Duff's daughters strike me as weird).

Right. And maybe Beta's brother's neighbor needs a job and a house too. I wonder if Axl even knows just how many Lebeises and friends of the Lebeises he's got on his pay roll.

EDIT: Special request by @Andy14. I don't even really understand it myself, I just tried to do exactly what she demanded lol :P

There's Beta and Fernando on the right of the pic. Edit, oh I guess I'm late in the game because you crafty detectives saw it first.

Axl seems to enjoy AC/DC a lot so it wouldn't surprise to see new material from them first while GNR keeps the nostalgia going.

Is that the rumor going around? If so, how sad for AC/DC fans.

Wasn't that the way it was leaning, though - that if anything, Angus will do something on his own after this?

Yes, very sad, there´s a rumor around this could be the last show because on AC/DC twitter there are messages from Stevie, Cliff and Chris thanking the fans.  I really hope Angus will keep on a few years (you see I´m a fan)
