His "so called" friends who did absolutely nothing are just as fuckin bad.
Agreed. We've all had moments where we look at a "friend" and realize they may not be the best person for us. This certainly looked like one of those times.
And those paparazzi and ebayers were deplorable. He handled it much better than I would have-- especially if I was tired and drunk. I felt claustrophobic and trapped just watching it.

I thought the 88 in your name was the year of your birth? If so; millennial is anyone born after 82!
I wish I was that young! 1988 was the the year I bought AFD and became a fan.

Your houses and gardens are a lot bigger too, and don't most Americans rent and not buy their homes?
It was always considered the American Dream for people to own their own homes. The millennials now, however, seem to be happy to just live in their parents basement until they are 30.

I loved getting my new fridge, it's American style with 2 doors. Have you seen UK appliances? they are way smaller than US ones especially the washing machines.
We super size everything in the US -- appliances and cars especially. All the men in the neighborhood secretly compete to have the largest BBQ grills and lawn mowers.

The band's attempt at dancing at the end of this video is so awkward

I went to two shows last year and am going to two more this year. Watching the same songs on YouTube/Periscope may get a little boring, but that's on me for doing that. The live performance however -- not boring for even one second. The band is on fire and I only wish o could afford to go to even more shows.

Ticketmaster just changed start time to 6pm. Possible 3+ hour show like Nijmegen and Tel Aviv?
Does that means Live goes on at 6:00, or GNR goes on at 6:00? That would be my luck to be late to a show Axl is finally on time for.

Good luck @Kris_1989! I've only had one MRI and it wasn't as bad as my imagination let me think. If you wear clothing without zippers or snaps, they will let you wear that and not have to change into a dreaded hospital gown.

My dream is" Matter of feeling" come back to set
I hope they celebrate 40ýs with a big tour. They have power to this, maybe need a agent more engagament
That would be a wonderful addition to the setlist. My personal dream has always been to hear "Do You Believe in Shame" one more time. The bass line, Nick's keyboard parts and Simon's lyrics are some of their very favorite for me. I'd love to hear some of the b-sides too at a 40 year show.

The start of the song here ^ reminds me so much of the live video (As the Lights Go Down) from the mid-80s.

Absolute they do, but there are some really strange choices at the RRHOF. (insert Axl's letter here )
Don't know if you saw this or not, but they had their first show in Oakland last night and played "Hold Back the Rain". I don't think they've played that one in a while --unless it was played at Lollapoloza?
Love the lyric change at 1:52. And Simon sounds fabulous and looks like he is having a great time.

I find it facinating how some people in this thread is just trying to be as negative as can be, towards me. What's the problem? I made a post about the greatest thing that has happened to me in a very long time. If you find it stupid, why bother giving me attention? You don't have to even look at this thread if you find this whole thing "so stupid" of me to post about. (This goes for all the haters!). I never visit threads I don't care about reading and especially not just to "show my disapproval of the thread", like it matters...
As for the word "viral", I'm no word-expert and didn't google search that word before I posted it. I've seen the video getting "a lot more than 4000 views" on other sites than youtube (instagram and facebook for instance) btw, and I thought the word "viral" was the correct term. I thought it simply meant a video that has spread on different sites, really fast. And it has (Gn'R fanpages). Not about getting a million views or more. And I only meant within the Gn'R community as well of course. I am "sorry" for using that word if it's not correct. It must have been the dumbest thing I've done so far.
Edit: Oh, and I have no problem changing the damn headline if "viral" is wrongfully used. There! I changed it. But I dislike the way you presented it, like I'm stupid. No need for that.
Don't let anyone ruin what was a wonderful moment for you. Speaking for myself, it was great to read your story here and I loved the video.

A lot of the time I feel like everyone who loves or appreciates me only does because of the good that's in them, not because I'm truly worth loving. Maybe this has been spurred on by the meds I've started but honestly part of me wants to just expunge myself.
The fucking tide. It often carries me away. Still, I try and remember it eventually returns.5 minutes ago, Jane M. said:WTF. This breaks my heart.
It breaks my heart too @Oldest Goat I don't cross paths with you very often on the forum, but when I do see your posts they are brilliantly funny and you seem to be be a very good friend to some people here. All worthy qualities IMHO.
We've all been there and you are absolutely right, it does get better. Be good to yourself and hang in there.
