YES! i so agree with this! :headbang:

I almost agree but the lyrics of AC∕DC were also good while Brian wrote.

But after the 80`s only Angus and Malcolm wrote lyrics and it became more or less meaningless.

Some songs are really hard to understand what they sing about and maybe they don`t even understand the lyrics themself.

Let Angus take care of the riffs and solos and give the pen to Axl.

Axl has lived a crazy life so he probably also has a lot to write about.

  2. So Axl refuce to reveal any future plans?

That`s pretty much like Angus Young`s attitude.

It could be a good sign. Maybe something is going on then. Angus has probably instructed Axl not to talk to the press about it.

Imagine the shitstorm if they release a new album with Axl on vocals, but no new GN'R album. lol

I have no clue what plans any of the bands got.

Has Axl talked about his future plans recently?

Last year he said he would record with AC∕DC if he was asked to. But it has been silence about AC∕DC after the last show in Philly.

He also said that he would maybe record with Guns`n`Roses, but that was also last year.

I think we gotta wait until this tour is over in september before we get real information on what the future holds.

Pretty sure AC/DC will do another album. I think Brian can still record in a studio. Maybe after they do another album, someone will come up with something to help Brian with his hearing.

No, it won`t happend. Brian is out and he is probably happy about it. I don`t think he want to do it again.

The man is almost 70 and almost deaf.

    It`s Axl or it`s over.

  5. Brian is still able to sing well. His was was actually very good during his last tour.

But the hearing loss was no lie and he was also very tired of touring. The man is almost 70 and the way he sing is very hard.

A new album with Axl would be great only IF they are able to make a decent album. Axl gotta come up with some great lyrics because that`s something Angus struggles with.

They have never been a close band. It's the "Young brothers" and "everyone else" as far as that goes. They're friendly, but when they're not touring, they don't hang out.

As for the OP, I don't think Axl was in anybody's mind until he asked his people to get in touch with Angus to offer his services.

I belive Angus and Brian had good chemistry on the stage and in the studio but maybe not so on a personal level.

It`s no surprise that Angus has not spoken to Brian since he left. They didn`t talk much during the long gaps between recording and touring. And now they will probably never see each other again.

  7. The big question is if there was something else than Brians hearing loss that caused his departure? Maybe there was some problems between Angus and Brian?

I think not. Brian was talking about retirement since 2008. He was the lead singer for 35 years and I find it hard to belive that Angus wanted him fired when there was so few shows left. It would been a huge risk to fire Brian at this point.

His age made it harder and harder to perform and when he was told by doctors that he could go 100% permanent deaf if he didn`t stop the live performances immediately he just realized that he couldn`t do it anymore.

It is true that some fans have a hard time accepting the loss of Brian as this was the very end of AC∕DC. No Brian, no more AC∕DC as many hardcore fans see it.

  8. Bon was an outstanding singer and frontman. His lyrics was also amazing.

Just like Brian he was very down to earth with a great sense of houmor.

I have no clue what AC/DC would be like today if they didn`t met Bon in the beginning.

  9. Scott Ian played bass among other instruments.

But this is really not a big issue. To play bass in AC/DC can`t be that hard. It`s very basic and straight forward. But the bass player must also be able to sing backing vocals.

  10. I don`t think it will be Duff.  Duff is height 6`3.  Angus is about 5`2. It will look weird to see those two on the stage togheter.

If they gonna hire a well known bass player it could be Michael Anthony (Van Halen) or Scott Ian (Anthrax)

  11. Axl said he felt he had a good chemistry with Angus.

He also said that he and Angus had thrown new song ideas at each other and he will record with AC/DC if they want.

Maybe Axl can give Angus an inspiration that Brian was unable to offer.

Angus also need help with the lyrics because some of their last albums had poor lyrics.

But Guns has to finish this tour first and I think it will last until next summer at least.

I think so too, and would mean they could easily sort out tour dates then, as AC/DC wouldn't have to worry about GNR tour dates. I like the idea of a touring festival type thing, like what the Ozzfest does. They can take along some lesser bands and have a two day thing.

I don't think one could open for the other, they're both too big and Axl couldn't hack singing for four - five hours.

It would only been possible if both bands reduced their set lists or it would be too much work for Axl.
