Well yea Ive met him in the most hilarious way. I sold him a drone at Best Buy in Lafayette Indiana two years ago. I was walking around the isles and stopped at a computer to check my sales that day when a man walked up to me and asked if I have seen keys laying around because he misplaced them. I said "no". I asked him if he'd like me to announce if anyone saw any keys and he said "no" and started walking away. I instantly knew who he was and I respected why he didn't want anyone involved so I kept who he was quiet. He walked outside to his Mercedes Van and got out his two dogs which if I recall correctly were German Shepherds and smoked a cigarette.

A few minutes later he walked back in and bought a Phantom drone off of me for a little over one grand and I believe he also bought a tablet and a PC from my buddy in the PC department. This dude was awesome and very quiet. He must have found his keys though.

Ha ha, the dogs. His mom told me he was asked to leave the Meijer on 26 because he brought his dogs in. If that was two years ago, looks likes he’s still been spending time there. I left in 2012 and he had spent most of the summer there. I want to be respectful of someone’s privacy, so I won’t get too specific, but he was definitely hanging out at a certain restaurant that summer.

Now these are the kind of stories I want to hear when I posted this topic disscussion...any childhood stories about izzy and axl from her?

Not really any childhood stories, but she would tell me mundane things, that I found fascinating just by the nature of the people involved, like "Oh, I got Axl a shirt that says 'Here Comes Treble' for Christmas." Like, whoa... I know what Axl got for Christmas! Ha.

  3. I just like the mystery of it all. Obviously, we know who the Screaming Trees are and it's semi-safe to assume the "Shrieking Violet" reel is L.A. Guns, though I can't make out any of the titles.

Anyone have any idea what the Ya-Ya's is? Here is what the labels say:

    Reel One:
    July 15/98
    The Ya-Ya's
    1. Not Like You 0-3:20
    2. Long Ways 3:40-6:40
    3. Hideaway 6:40-10:25
    Tones At Head
    RecPadStair
    Reel One

    Reel Two:
    The Ya-Ya's
    July 15/98
    1. Lies 0-3:15
    2. 7 AM 3:15-8:20
    3. ? ? 8:20-12:25
    4. Out on The Streets 12:25-15:20
    Reel Two

This is my theory as well.

Though, to shake things up... "Shrieking Violet" was L.A. Guns' album from 1999 and Gilby Clarke was the producer and Teddy Andreadis played keyboards on it. Not sure how that would connect to Duff. Perhaps they were just sharing storage space. Anyway, none of the evidence is pointing toward Axl or Slash.

Now, just trying to figure out the Ya-Ya's.

  5. Duff was also recently in a band with a member of Screaming Trees, who were in the studio in 1999 recording demos before breaking up for good. He could have been involved in the demos or just storing tapes for his friend. Either way, almost all of the evidence points to these being Duff's tapes. I'm not an expert on reels, but if Duff was jamming with Izzy, it's more-than-plausible that Duff had his own copies or, if copies of reels are hard to make (again, not my area of expertise), that he would have his own alternate takes.

I don't believe this is genuine. Why would they write (fast version) by your crazy......? They'd know if they'd only rehearsed one format of the song

It's real. I seriously doubt my friend stayed up last night to make and post a fake setlist at like 3 a.m. Plus, I've, literally, been with her when she's acquired other setlists, so I don't think any of the lists she posts are fake.

Also, maybe they rehearsed both versions. Before the Apollo show, Eddie Trunk said they rehearsed a bunch of old cuts that they haven't played in awhile, which doesn't seem to be represented by that list. Of course, Eddie Trunk could just be making stuff up.

  7. So, my friend went to the show last night and posted this a few hours ago. She's been going to shows for twenty-plus years and always manages to get a hold of of the setlist by chatting up crew members. I was surprised when I saw this in my feed this morning, since this was a massive show. She collects setlists so I have no reason, whatsoever, to think this isn't an actual setlist. Also, sorry if anyone else as posted something similar (I didn't read through all thirty-plus pages of the St. Louis show thread). Anyway, enjoy and discuss.

  9. Just got this; nothing too special. Though, the seller accidentally sent me the "Jungle"/Sweet Child" Back-to-Back Hits 45, so when I emailed to let him know of the mistake, he sent me the correct one (pictured) at no charge and didn't even ask for the other back, so I got two that I needed for the price of one. I've got some more stuff coming in the mail, too.

  10. Also, can anyone verify which version of "Shadow of Your Love" is on this German 12". Is it the "studio" version that says "Wake up, time to play" in the beginning? I have an actual live version on the "It's So Easy" 12". Also, I see some people online arguing that this version, if it is the "time to play" version is actually Hollywood Rose.

    I have:

AFD original cover, not a bootleg or reissue

Lies original cover ("Ladies, welcome to the dark ages")

UYI II (had it signed by Matt Sorum in 99...don't know if that lowers the value)

    TSI on orange vinyl

Live from the Jungle Japanese EP with Obi strip

    CD

And I have Live Era.  But it's not sealed.  I listened to it when I got it.   Still rare though.

I don't have UYI I.   I need to pick up a reissue one of these days just so I can have all the main releases.

I saw an original release, sealed "Use Your Illusion I" this weekend... $125.

My U.K. "Welcome to the Jungle" 45.
