  1. it's the extended versions that made Zeppelin legendary live. the 35 min D&C version from Earls Court is amazing. So is the interplay and jamming in No Quarter...

Extended solos on Stairway and Trampled are brilliant improvisation.

Led Zeppelin live are the reason Led Zeppelin happened in the first place.

and the DVD is probably the best music DVD ever.

Ya i think i'm going out to get it today, any specific music stores or just most in general.

  2. Metallica- Creeping Death

Iron Maiden- Run for the Hills

Deep Purple- My woman from tokyo

    Mötley Crüe- Dr. Feelgood

    Black Sabbath- Paranoid

Uriah Heep- All i know is Chris Slade is/was in them

    Queen- Tie your mother down

    Led Zeppelin- Heartbreaker

    Pink Floyd- Comfortably Numb

  3. The riffs are similar sounding but you can also accuse those mindless idiots AC/DC for writing the same riff time and time again, same with Aerosmith, and the riffs on Contraband sound really similar as well. Each band has its sound.

Tom's written some great riffs, especially on Bombtrack, Killing In The Name Of, Bulls On Parade, Know Your Enemy, Down Rodeo and Guerilla Radio.

And I think Wake Up is better than Kashmir :P

Ha better than Kashmir, I won't give it that much. But i do agree that they were the best of there time. My favs are Bulls on Parade and Bombtrack.

Zach was a really influential political lyricist, thats what I think made him good.
