  1. I've got mine today - I ordered quite a bit later. But I have to say, I'm disappointed - I know, I should have known better and read this topic more regularly.

The surprise gift, the Hard Skool Clear Vinyl from last year, is a bloody joke. Since I joined the Nightrain club last year for the first time, I've got it twice now. That's not a surprise, it's a getting rid of shit, that was ordered in wrong quantities.

The funny thing is, that the vinyl was made in Germany. So they flew it twice over the ocean. The CO2 footprint is also ridiculous.

But at least the London Cd is quite nice. ah well...

Because very long threads can affect site performance and in general are harder to search, moderate etc. Lots of forums have a cap on thread size. We don't have an official limit as such but we have archived other large threads at 1000+ pages.

I thought a title comp might be a fun thing to do over the xmas break but if there's not much <ahem> appetite for that then I can just wait until it hits around a 1000 and call it Vol.2.

A competition is a good idea. Let's collect some ideas and start a poll afterwards.

The entirety of Li(v)e Era apart from It's Alright and Coma has been synched up to their original performance(s) and compared using Audacity, with Live Era as the left channel and the original performance(s) as the right channel.

Wow, thanks for "wasting" your time doing that analysis.

My conclusion is: Whoever thinks that CD is a Frankenstein-Album, has just been proven wrong. ;) Overdubbing in the middle of a word... ridiculous. Because that is in fact wasted time.

That deal has nothing to do with (not) releasing music. Music has been released since then (CD and the two songs last year).

Back in 2005, Axl signed a publishing deal with Sanctuary Music, at which then manager Merck Mercuriades was CEO. The deal was that Axl would lease his share of publishing (composition) rights to old and future GN'R material for 20 years. Two years later, though, Sanctuary went bankrupt and was bought out by Universal, including Axl's deal. So Universal has a share of Axl's publishing since then. It's unknown if it's under the same terms as in the original deal with Sanctuary, but what is certain is that Axl retained a portion of the copyright.

Again, that deal is not relevant. Furthermore, now GN'R have their own record label and more control of their music.

How do you know it's not relevant (to Axl)?
