I think the verses on "Better" are absolutely brilliant.
The hardest part this troubled heart...
This melody inside of me...
...and so on. The way it flows, IMO, is perfect. It's like those lyrics were meant to be.
I also dismissed CD in '08 (besides SOD) and gave it a second try in '14 and honestly, I was completely blown away. I tended to skip only Rhiad, but now I don't. For me CD, is a straight through listen.

If I hadn't already gotten my tickets, I would of asked how much you wanted for them, lol. I'm surprised they're doing Hartford considering most bands don't really don't really hit up the other New England states. You should try reselling on stubhub, it's usually what I go with whenever I hit up concerts/events.
Yeah I'm going to sell my Boston tickets. And yes Hartford does get skipped a lot by rock bands, but they get a lot of pop shows. Good for my wife, and bad for me lol.
I did see GNR in Hartford in '11 at our amphitheater. Sell out of 7,500. And by my recollection this will be Guns' 5th show in CT, ever. Maybe less.

There's 3 albums worth of material! All that needs to be done is have Axl record vocals for the material, mix it, tracklist them, promote the albums properly, and release!!! Why is everyone so negative?!?
We're so "negative" because we've been following the band for the past 2 decades

I was at the show at MetLife unaware it was his bday until I heard someone talking about it while tailgating.

Let's all do ourselves a favor and remain pessimistic. Fortus has been talking like this since he joined.

In short form, yes.
I'm just happy this is happening. I won't criticize the lineup, setlist or lack of new material. Maybe I did at first. Life is too short to complain online IMO. Hey if it helps you sleep a night! I'll just quietly skip past your post.
If you could get a message back to yourself 10-20 years ago and offer a semi-reunion tour with just Slash, Duff and Axl, but you don't get new material and the same set list for 2 years, would you say no?

Section 311. All I could afford as well. Pretty pumped and I can't wait to go!
I'm looking to ditch my tickets for the Hartford show. Shorten my drive by and hour and forty min

"Strike while the iron is hot" would be the appropriate term here

So? You go to both
for monetary purposes, i will not be doing that lol. besides i have already been to one stop of the tour already. one stadium and one arena is my limit. until maybe if we get some new tunes. for which i am not optimistic.

Damn. They added a show in my hometown. Too bad I already have tickets for Boston.

"Epic" defined. My favorite song of all time.

I'm sorry but in my most humble opinion, he would sound great singing anything.
But it won't happen
-
Sympathy for the Devil sans Tobias. Basically just so Slash wouldn't hate it so much.

I remember the first hint Fallon dropped during th show and my ears perked up like a dog. Then when I saw him wearing the GNR t-shirt I darted to grab a blank VHS tape to record it! I was 15 years old.
That was also the first time I laid eyes on Bucket!

Kudos to everyone who knows who is playing what on Chinese Democracy. I really enjoy CD and listen to it fairly frequently and I typically have no idea who is playing what.
But to me, too many cooks in the kitchen.

One of my favourite songs, it's the stripped back feel that doesn't seem finished, that I like.
Never found any good quality video of Izzy performing this and it's a shame we don't know more about it.
Same here, I love it. Very fun song ala User to Love Her. Great song that was more fun to listen to as a single guy!

New album idea,
"The Doorbell Incidient?!"
Another cover album! But they only cover their own material. So VR, Snakepit, Slash solo, Loaded, etc with Axl on vocals
And I'm only kidding. Sorta...

Last time I just couldn't move, couldn't get out of bed. I couldn't remember getting home.
Oh yeah, I blacked out around 1030 PM, according to my wife obviously.

I hate spirit hangovers. I feel like you can have very few problems with it, but if it gets you, it's like a body blow.
I compare it to getting hit on the forehead with a sledgehammer

Wu-Tang Clan. Including seeing individual members as solo artists, I would say 7-10 times.
If you don't consider the Wu a band, I've seen GNR twice so far. In 2011 and 2016. And I'm going again in October.

Whisky went down like water last night. This is a top 5 hangover all time for me

I voted CDII but my real answer is more like: CDII songs, untouched as they would have been released with Robin.
Absolutely. I'd prefer the CD era material released right now as is. Maybe as a lead up to a new album with Slash and Duff.
-
I think both are feasible.
What I want is for them to announce a SOLID release date for the CD era material while at the same time announcing that they are working on new album consisting of the current lineup. I personally cannot fathom Izzy reuniting with the band at this point, although that would be outstanding.
PS - I also want a NITL tour Blu-Ray and to hear an AXL/DC album. God I'm greedy!

yeah some of the lines on Sorry are unfortunate for sure, mostly "I'll kick your ass..."
Bright spot being "it's harder to live with the truth about about you..."
