THIS ONE!Olsen Twins - The Waiting Game
Something is enough to drive me insane
Who made up the rules to this silly game?
It's no fun at all
Wishing he would call
Standing around hoping for some guy to drop the ball
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Cause everybody's playing the waiting game
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
It doesn't even matter if you both feel the same
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Come on make your move, baby you're driving me insane
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Everybody's playing the waiting game
I think I'll call him up to see what's going on
Check it out and see what's taking him so long
I got a feeling that he wants to take me to the dance
What if he says no?
Well I gotta take the chance
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Cause everybody's playing the waiting game
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
It doesn't even matter if you both feel the same
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Come on make your move, baby you're driving me insane
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Everybody's playing the waiting game
I think I can do it
Yo girls back me up
Pick up the phone and let him know what's up
I'm ready to do it
Rushin' it to it
He might turn me down well I gotta go through it
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Cause everybody's playing the waiting game
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
It doesn't even matter if you both feel the same
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Come on make your move, baby you're driving me insane
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
Everybody's playing the waiting game
It doesn't even matter if you both feel the same
Waiting, Wait, Waiting
And Everybody's playing the waiting game

Since when did the Olsen Twins become musicians?? The whole song is like a thought process: "I think I'll call him up to see what's going on...I think I can do it..It doesn't even matter if oyu both feel the same.." That's a REALLY bad song.
-
I've probably heard more of their songs than I think I have--I know Sultan of Swing is by them and I think it's ok. I know someone who's cousin is in the band--that's allll she ever talks about.
-
I don't own this album, Green Day do nothing for me at all.
-
Hey this thread's still going! w00t w00t!!
-
I despise 'yellow polka dot bikini too'. There's really too many songs to list-plus, there's bound to be some I'll miss out.
At my place of work, the dept. next to us have a CD player-all they EVER play is FkN' dance tracks-there's one that is ridiculously stupid lyric-wise-it just repeats 'be sincere, be sincere...' over and over n a robotic voice-DUMBASSES
-
I like 'In Da Club' by 50 cent It's just such a tune to dance to with a booming base line-I'm not THAT into Rn'B but I do like really catchy things like that. Like that song '1 Thing' by that chick-that's catchy.

Do you think the guy is Tom Zutaut?
guy in Question's pic
Tom Zutaut (guy on left):
I dunno. Maybe.
-
The guy in question is in the middle. Geez, Slash looks really skinny there I didn't notice the postmark-it could indeed be genuine then. I didn't realise he had edited out the full address either-so yes, it could very well be genuine.

$1,000.00?? To be honest, I don't really get it. So, the card is 'from Axl'-but what about the envelope?? If that's also meant to be written by Axl, then why would he just write "Houston Texas 77096" on it? Is that meant to be the envelope it came in? If so-that's not really a proper address and why would he write "Axl God Knows where?" on a card for someone else?
I wouldn't pay for it because a) I don't have that kind of money and B) Don't evenknow if it's authentic or not.

Best. Thread. Ever.

I've met all of Maroon5-before they were famous-probably not something to brag about though. They were all ridiculously drunk-Mickey (bass player) couldn't sign his name properly-so just did a squiggle. I then went on their tourbus (they invited me and my friends on) and we all drove to McDonalds and had a meal (they paid for it all-of course).
Not exactly a 'band' but I have met Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood whilst at Ronnie's house party-now THAT was a cool night
My mum knows the English Gabrielle and I've met her a couple of times. I also personally know the singer Ben Taylor (son of James Taylor)-he has his own band but is touring without them at the moment.
I aos know a band called SaintJude. Which reminds me-It's Adam's birthday today and I haven't emailed him!!! (guitarist)
-
Yes I've heard Sultans of Swing-I've probably heard a lot of their songs on the radio without realizing it's them. I'd like them if it wasn't for this woman I know going on about them all the time-about how her cousin is in the band-that's ALL she ever talks about!
-
Well I heard their album last week whilst at a musician's house. A top music executive was also there and he described the album as 'perfection' and that it 'has no flaws'-and he really knows his stuff. The album was playing in the background but people were also strumming guitars and chatting so I didn't really get to analyse it.

I recall at least two occasions where there have been 'official' polls done on this subject-It's made it into the newspaper and on the radio. For a number of years running now it has been:
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen B)
-
Jimi Hendrix
Alice N Chains
Soundgarden
Pearl Jam
Nirvana
Now THAT is something worth boasting about! B)
And finno-what about 'Boyzone'? don't they come from Ireland?
-
Jamie Cullum, The Wurzels, Mark Lamaar is from Swindon and I thought Muse were local too.
Swindon?! whenever I think of Swindon I think of 'The Office'-boring place?
I hung out with Jamie Culum last week

Living near the heart of London I could reel of a long list so I'll narrow it down. I live in an area on the outskirts of london called Hertfordshire. So we have:
The Spice Girls - I know a couple of them come from here-the blonde one came to our house to buy a cat from us. I was psyched when she came over.
Madness - I think they're from here anyway-my brother was building an extension on the lead singers' house at one point.
Paul Young - Lives up my road, is my friends uncle.
Deep Purple
The Zombies
There may be more! So shoot with yours!

I really Hendrix's style and originality. Ok, I adore the man!! B) I think he's sucha a cool cat! I really don't understand why he's 'overrated' though. Will someone please give me some insight into this? I mean, I know he can be regarded as a 'sloppy player' (which I would agree on) but apart from that I don't see the problem with Hendrix. By 'overrated' you don't mean 'bad' do you? Because he wasn't a bad player.
Tell me one song which you think is overrated and why.
edit: go to the 7th video clip down ('hey joe') to see him playing with his teeth and playing the guitar on the back of his head Geez, he's amazing.

I saw Adler's Appetite at Blue Cafe in Long Beach on saturday, I was pretty impressed they covered all the old Appetite tunes really well, Kerri Kelli had the guitar solos right on the money. The singer was younger and had lots of energy on stage, hit high notes, definately does better than Weiland on those tracks, even got to meet Steven after the show. Has anyone else seen these guys?
NO! DAMMIT! don't remind me!! I missed out on them performing @ the Underworld in Camden-which is only about 1/2 hour from where I live because I had too much work to do
-
Guns n' Roses ('old' GnR if I had to choose)
AC/DC
Led Zeppelin
Jimi Hendrix
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones (although I've been to Ronnie Wood's house party where he jammed for a bit )
Aerosmith
The Sex Pistols
David Bowie
Queen
Nirvana
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Adlers Appertite - I had the chance to as they were playing at the Underworld in Camden-but I had too much work to do
Loads more-can't think of any now.
I've seen Velvet Revolver
-
GnR songs
Civil War
Live and Let die
Anything goes
Right Next Door to Hell
Estranged
Non GnR songs
Crazy (Aerosmith)
Love in an elevator (Aerosmith)
An American Trilogy (Elvis) first thing that came to mind
Relax (Frankie goes to Hollywood)
Everytime (Britney Spears)
Took me less than 2 mins

I remember the first time I ever heard 'I' and 'II' I was like amazing!!
I was coming back home from my aunts house (who lives about 4 hours away) and she just put the CDs on one after the other. I was only about 15-loved 'em straightaway B)
AC/DC and Aerosmith also get my vote-and Queen!

I agree with the 2 long lists prior to this post (by Spud_Jr and dizzigdag)

I like a lot of their songs--they create memorable and quite original riffs. Jared, one of the guitarists, is only about 18 years old--meaning he was only about 16 (if that) when they were well known. A couple of my friends went to one of their concerts a while back, they chatted to Jared and had a smoke with him--he was cool.
