  1. I wish they would bring(especially) Slash and Duff on a day that Axl would be in court. At least it would get Axl and Slash in the same room! :rofl-lol:

And how did Izzy and Steven get left out of this equation when it came to creating GNR Music or whatever? How come they get no say?I mean I could see maybe Steven not getting a say, cause they fired his ass.But Izzy?

  2. I Love Duffs Voice in Paradise City "Tay me dohwn do de paradise sity, where de grass is green an de girls aarrr prettteey.... take me hooome yeahhh yeahhhh" :rofl-lol: :rofl-lol: :rofl-lol: :rofl-lol: :rofl-lol:

LOL Where the hell does Axl's vocals go during the chorus! Can't hear him at all!Bet the sound guy was fired, unless he was an in house sound guy. :rofl-lol:

  3. I heard these in the mid/late 90s.maybe around 95 or 96.Never cared to much for them in their entirety, kinda sound like something Axl worked on on his own.I can't see the other guys doing these.Just doesn't seem like them.Although I do like the vocals on Bring It Back Home.

Sounds like a bunch of drums machines to me.I could see the band doing Bring It Back Home, kinda has an old Aerosmith feel to it.But definitely not the second.

  4. Did anybody ever really answer this?

Does Slash ever play Welcome To The Jungle live?I mean after reading all that bull shit,it would seem as if Slash has no right to even play it live or whenever the hell he feels like,in the presence of fans/other people....especially if a ticket to the performance was bought.Wouldn't Slash be making money off of the song in that type of situation?Maybe it has to do with Slash is still recognized as Slash and Axl isn't so much recognized as Axl or the way he used to be recognized visually?Who know?Just grow up already!

  5. And if I were Slash,I would make a legal document saying that no one in any future endeavors of GNR can use my image,Meaning no one that is in,or joins GNR could use my likenesses. In other words,no top hat of any kind,no clothing resembling his clothing that was worn during his existence in GNR etc, etc, etc.

He doesnt have a monopoly on the top hat

ever heard of Marc Bolan? Not to mention Stevie knicks,Alice Cooper,George Harrison in the movie ".HELP" all wore top hats before slash.

And I'm not even mentioning Mr.Peanut,Uncle Sam,and the little man in monopoly. :takethat:

Couldn't he do so though if he copyrighted his image?People have put copyrights on stuff more stupid than that!

  7. I must be one of the few to like nearly all of UYI I & II.

The ones I go around singing the most are

    Bad Apples

    Bad Obsession

    Back Off Bitch

    Perfect Crime

    Pretty Tied Up

    Right Next Door To Hell

    Don't Cry(orig)

    Nov.Rain

    Estranged

    Dust~N~Bones

    Live & Let Die

    You Ain't The First.

LOL In other words,I could have done without Breakdown,Don't Cry(Alt)....actually,I think those two are the only ones that I hardly ever go around singing! Here lately I have had a thing for Back Off Bitch! Not long ago it was Bad Apples and Bad Obsession.

Fun little tidbit, someone once asked me what Izzy sings in Dust~N~Bones......asked if he said "I'm six feet five...."

I nearly fell over laughing my ass off! :rofl-lol:

And I am with you Marc.....had they gotten in one room together and just played. Not this over the phone and sending tapes back n forth Bull Shit.

  8. It's true more people know who Slash is. He has been in a bunch of cartoons and has always played on other peoples records and jams on stage with everyone and does tons of press. Also he has that look with the top hat that is famous. However When you think of GNR Axl will come to mind first. He is the front man

Actually,I think of both Axl and Slash

As a fan of the band you will think of both but I'm talking about someone that knows very little about the band. Also You would be surprised by what people think who is still in the band. My wife went with some people to the GNR show in a small venue a few months ago and after the show this girl said to my wife "Slash was so great tonight" There are many people out there that go to the show because they like the songs that they hear on the radio and they don't even know who is in the band. As far as she was concerned DJ with the hat on was Slash.

And I often wondered if DJ's look is somehow encouraged?Or is it his style all on his own?

  10. She laughs and says, "I know why she didn't say goodbye. When you're a dickhead telling the girl to thank her stars that you're home again or degrading her, are you really surprised she walked out on your ass?!"

    Nice.

:rofl-lol: OMG that would be a cool sig line.

  11. I often wonder if his hate for Slash has to do with Slash walking away, more than Axl saying he told lies and whatever. But who am I to know if Slash has told lies?

I also wonder if it has to do with those people that cared a lot about Axl,and as you say would give them a body part....during the time of the Great Divide of the band. There were a lot of people around them, some close friends....that either walked away(Robert John) or passed away (Shannon Hoon,West Arkeen) or even as far back a his childhood with people like his family that were suppose to care for him,but didn't.Then you have his girlfriends that he thought were the one(s),they walked away too.I think all of that has an effect on Slash walking away.Slash walking away was just the icing on the cake per se.I think Slash was one of the people that Axl had deeply hoped wouldn't go or have a tragic ending.

And I also feel like he is mad because he had no control over Slash walking.

But this is all my opinion. Not saying or tryin to prove it as a fact.

I know from my own personal experience,it's not so easy getting over someone walking away from you(my dad),that according to the world,is suppose to be there for you and care about you.Do I condone Axl not speaking to Slash?Hell no.There's nothing that I would love more in this world is for Axl to regain his friendship with Slash. But sometimes it is easier for some people than others to get over this type of situation or to just ignore the past in order to have a future relationship with someone, like I do with my dad.My dad hurt my brother and I by walking away from my mother and choosing a woman that had 3 kids that he practically raised. But that a long story that doesn't belong here.Just trying to give an example here.

Only those two and a select few know what really happened.Even if one of them dies and takes it to the grave.Someone somewhere is goin to spill the beans eventually.Cause the world is left scratching their heads.

  12. And I don't care too much for his voice now live. It's lost it's essence some. But then again the 90s kicked ass, even though I never had the chance to see it live, other than recordings.

  13. Met one girl who said that once. Mostly these days I'm introducing people to CD, who are shocked to hear it in a good way because they either "Didn't know it was out" or "Had heard it wasn't good"

Try this the next time you meet a casual fan, tell them "This is Slash playing" I've usually tried it with TWAT or the Blues. Like a blind taste taste. It's LOL the percentage that go nuts. The ones that know enough to know he's NOT in the band but the line "This song was recorded back in 95." "Man, they never should have broken up, they were sooo good."

    Were? Indeed.

I guarantee if this exact same album with no changes had Slash listed on the credits, it would have sold 2x more, and it sold well.

    psychological.

Even if I didn't know Slash wasn't in the band or if it happen to be that he was listed on the credits,I would know that it wasn't his guitar playing.Just like when Slash plays ( or has played) with Joe Perry live,a lot of people say they couldn't distinguish the two sometimes, saying they both sound too much alike. But I could, even listening to it live on a shitty, staticy radio station and later on the cassette that I recorded it on.
