Of course he cant win. Given the way hes been over the years it doesnt matter what he does someones going to think "oh shit, here we go again" rightfully or wrongfully so. I dont take sides in any case as im a fan of all members solo efforts and dont care what happens. Axl frustrates me with his reluctance to put out a non perfect record but hearing and seeing the man perform.... the guy is Amazing in his lyrics and diversity musically. you cant help but want more from him. Which leaves us in the situation we are in now.. waiting, debating, bashing.

Damn.. chicagos spendy and i dont have my tax money yet. was hoping to get a couple vip tix. missed the last tour in all 3 stops around me. chicagos 4 hours away. hopefully ill be able to find a tix or two when i do get my money. damn

Thank you Alaska Gunner,I'm not familiar with you,but I had the intentions of squelching some of the constant bickering on here by shedding light on the reasons why it happens.

I'm guilty of joking around,and I'm sure I offend people,but I honestly would prefer intelligent discussion,and that sometimes can't be summed up in a short paragraph.

We are all Gunners here (I think ) of one degree or another,people take jokes too personally,and it deteriorates into playground mentality arguements.

Ill agree on enjoying the TIL solo.. but I prefer other work on CD by him. while I enjoy his and buckets work on CD im not a fan of either outside of it. I just dont get it. Love slash's ability to write and play but given time I think Ashba will be a great addition with his ability and style. fits the d style guns better imho. Also Dj has more than nailed anything hes been asked to play at yhis point

These whiners are irritating. some of his Sixx AM stuff isnt bad and i think his solos offer a glimpse at how awesome he can be. but working with the level of talent hes currently with, ron, richard , Axl, especially axl will bring out the best in anyone. theres a higher expectation and knowing that comes from being in a band like this.

Would love to see this one played, but ill agree out of the album twat, catcher, and prostitute are most production oriented and probably harder to pull off. maybe they just need to do an acoustic set and get er done

Not sure who this is or why hes speaking as an outsider but live stream was pretty damn awesome. i wasnt able to catch it due to work schedule.( it would have started near 1am) but catching vegas without a doubt. everyone needs to lay off dj in a serious manner.. told everyone in the other thread not to speculate and get your hopes up. other than the members here who actually went almost looks like im one of the few really happy with last night show

Chi-dem- good song but not a favorite. feels like its missing something to me. i tend to skip half the time.

Shacklers- wasnt sure of this one at first but cant deny the chorus. awesome song

Better- amazing song lyrically and musically. easily my favorite on the album

SOD- not crazy about the first couple minutes but it gets more amazing as it goes on

If the world- good song depending on my mood tend to skip.

TWAT- absolutely love this song. epic in all ways. probly only my 4th fave though

Catcher- was my favorite demo then got a little busy in final cut but really an amazing song. love the main solo and the outro over the last two minutes. 2nd fave on album

Scraped- not a personal favorite.. skip most times.

Rhiad- great straight up rocker. to me fits with old gnr best

Sorry-love this song! not heavy musically but damn.. lyrically its huge 3rd fave

IRS- great song.. gets repetative sometimes but i love the ending.. dont know how axl does it.

Maddy- must listen every time. agree could do without the dialog

TIL- good song but its actually losing ground with me every listen.

Prostitute- perfect ending song. makes me want to start the whole journey over again.

My sympathies to Ron for all hes going through. my great grandpa who i had the pkeasure of knowing most of my life went through the same ordeal the last 3 years of his life. i as well would hate to see him leave the band but completely understand if he did. Tough choices to be made but best of luck and best wishes either choice

after seeing gnr live, the show wouldn't be the same without him, he always gives 110% second only to Axl

It's a Facebook thing. The idea is to post a picture of yourself and write some facts under it. It was a little game at some point or whatever. I think these five facts were to clarify that DJ is not trying to copy Slash by wearing a top hat, he's not trying to copy Page by hitting the guitar with the drum stick, and more or less that people have been harassing/spamming the band page since the Hall of Fame announcement so they removed some "likes" from the page, probably blocking the people.

My only thought on that knife is DJ is by all appearances Axls right hand man. you can see it pretty plainly. theres a lot of respect for all members but Dj and Ron seem to be the two that garner more trust at least publically. With DJ taking the lead. if your the leader you always need a good righthand guy who you trust and be comfortable with.

By no means am i saying hes getting inducted as i dont see that happening. just if Axl does something publicly he'll have one or both guitarists with him as a comfort/shield deal and also a show of unity for the current lineup

Not everything has a hidden or double meaning. take it for the durect and obvious quite it is and be happy that he acknowledged the fan base knowing all to well we most likely wanted it more than he.. or at least put more stock into it anyway. like i said in yet a different thread of the subject thanks to the "old" band for laying the amazing groundwork and the impression they had on my life and the new for rocking it harder and keeping the band and vision alive.

I doubt in my opinion we'll see a performance. if we do (which all the "new"guys have Said would be cool with them) im sure there would be some waivers or other paperwork involved for everyone. Doing something of this magnatude has a ton of consequences good and bad for everyone involved. as a huge fan of all the members id love to see it happen as a one of type deal and get the new guys back in studio to finish another album sooner than later. Its a huge pot to be stirred and a tough decision to make if your named Axl even if you know it would make millions of fan boys/girls wet there pants

Like all the variation in song taste here. the two albums sure gave us a ton of choices and the bigger standiuts are obvious but why all the bashing of "get in the ring"?? man other than the rant in the middle and the drunken speech at the end I frigging love that song!

im noticing a catch 22 here as well.. some are saying release just one album and an ep later on or not at all.. in which case we'd probly hear them anyway at some point just like the demos.. so why not just release two full albums and let the fans "complain" they have to much good music to listen to at once.
