Ive always koved the illusions albums.. hell anything gnr hss done for that matter. before chinese the bashing was always on those two albums as being overdone or not true gnr. Now 90% of the attentions on the later album and illusions are more widely accepted it seems by more users here. funny how that works isnt it? just cant please some people.

Didnt open this to debate. just thought a few users would like to know. i dont know about any rumours or inclination of him leaving. all i know is i appreciate his enthusiasm for this band, the work hes dohne for us and them and for being a voice and one hell of a guitar player. thanks ron! and whatever you do.. im still a fan

I think trying to debate the better guitarist is retarded. there are those that see slash as the original and best and others like myself that see ron and dj do a damn fine job covering slashes work. I also like dj's style better than buckets and think he as a writer/guitarest has more to offer the band as a whole.

lets reverse it and ask.. if there ever was a reunion would you expect slash to learn the new material as is? (i dont care about a reunion personally) I like the way this band is jelling, and having a bluesy/old school type in Dj has me excited for (hopefully) new music soon and in the future

These other forum nembers getting on here and on Dj's or Guns FB dissing this band irritate the fuck out of me. Get over it stupid bitches. this band is awesome and I cant wait to hear more from them. The pissing and moaning people do on here actually caused me to stop coming here for a while. This is what we have, a band that plays the shit out of the old stuff and has the potential to create new and amazing music. get over it

I would love to see either but mostly yesterdays. here in Iowa theres a radio station out of des moines that has a pick 6 every weekday. You pick your six faves and hope they pick you to play them on the radio. mine got picked and they played "Better"and "yesterdays" for me. The DJ and I both agreed that its one of the most unerrated gnr songs and he was stoked i picked it

i moved and lost this board for about 8 months now.. and after being here today and watching vids on youtube.. holy crap.. I don't think i've ever had the hair on the back of my neck stand up like that. the excitement.. the look of the band. everything. it sounds amazing.. looks great. and ASHBA?.. the dude is awesome. I'd love to hear some new songs with him as a writer.

I'm not a huge fan of greenday, but i do listen to some of there music.. but just the fact they got the crowd singing a song on there own, and not from the band itself. (and from the band i love) gave me goosebumps

looks like the majority of forum users are throwing this one into the flames. My opinion though... it's going to be huge. yes they're last album did really well for them, but I think this one is going to be bigger. just the "grand" feel to it listening through the first time. I heard some very beatles-esque songs in there and the rest really weren't that bad. I may actually consider buying this one, where I've never bought a Green Day album before. they've put out a few songs here and there that I like. But this is something different and I think it will strike a chord with a lot of people.

Love's So Strange could be a whole new song.

Locomotive and Don't Damn Me are the best on Illusions.

I'd agree with locomotive on uiII, but out of anything on ui I, I think coma kicks everythings ass.

good to see some discussion here. Bought the chevelle cd yesterday And I have to say I really like it...listend through it a few times and can only say there's one track that doesn't appeal to me. couldn't talk myself into buying the KOL cd though. probly just buy a couple tracks online. One thing I've never gotten about Linkin Park is everyone I talk to hates them, yet I pop in a disc and there's at least one song that I find them singing to. hybrid theory was the best selling cd of that particular year without ever being at or near the top of any charts. meteora was years ahead of that disc in my opinion and listening to the new single, sure it sounds like it could have gone on the meteora album but i'm still excited to see what direction if any they've gone with there music. cause i'm perfectly fine with what they were doing.

gave all a listen recently and I really like the new chevelle album, easily there best work. Never cared for kings of leon before this but after listening to thier new album I may consider buying it. the opening track and final track to me are standouts... musically I love it yet the vocals i'm not to crazy about. And the new linkin park single.. not as heavy as I expected yet just from listening to this track I expect an incredible album and will def. buy it when it's released. anyone else heard these yet? opinions?
