  1. With how Slash is such a work horse i cant imagine if they did reunite there wouldnt be a new album in the future. The dude is constantly writing and putting albums out. And hopefully being back together with Slash would put a spark of creativity or drive into Axl that we havent seen since Slash left.

Seems like duff and Slash will want to create and record.

If Axl has no interest......would that be a deal breaker?

If Axl does a year long semi-reunion tour, then Slash and duff go back to their own solo careers.....would fans Accept a new GnR album in 2017 that featured a bunch of new guys? Basically can Axl release CD2 in 2017 under the name GnR, but with two new guitar players and a new bass player?

I think if Axl wants to do anything after this he should do it as Axl Rose. Axl Rose is a big enough name to release music. He didn't need the GNR brand. Easy to say in hindsight but he really would have had less headache and arguably more success as Axl Rose.

  2. Depends how you define CD-era. Personally I believe that Slash and Duff are returning to GNR and then they'll release CD2. So it's not exactly the end of the CD era.

    lol

    CD era is over btw

You really think that Axl's never gonna release the songs he's been working on all these years? Wanna bet?

Do you actually think that Slash or Duff would go, "Nooo, we're not joining GNR if you're gonna release the songs you've written".

Of course the songs will be released, so in that sense the era isn't over. But of course it depends on how you define CD era. CD1 era is obviously over. CD2 era is up next with input from Slash and Duff most likely.

I agree with this. When Axl gets new members doesn't he have them re record the songs with their input. Wishful thinking perhaps but I think thats going on behind the scenes. Once CD 2 is ready with Slash and Duff on or while they are doing it we get a tour announcement and album release.

  3. Obviously something is going on...

Slash announces he and Axl are talking

    2 guitarists left the band

No one has shot down the rampant reunion rumours

Axl is now on good terms with all the originals (maybe not Adler)

big announcement in 2 to 4 months as per Fernando

Seems pretty obvious to me that reunion talks are in the works. There is no announcement because there must be a hell of a lot of negotiating going on behind the scenes. Until that is resolved and they all agree to terms, and dates are set, why would they announce anything. Thats such a disaster. I think they all know the negotiations will be tough so not to get anyones hopes up.

What they are negotiating? Aside from profit percentages…..anyone have a clue on what types of things would go into a negotiation like this? Will Slash demand no late fee for himself if Axl is late? Will anyone have an issue with TB being managers?

It would be amazing if the negotiations were not the hold up and it was that the originals were adding their pieces to CD2! One can only dream!!

  4. Best concert I've ever been to! First time seeing Axl on May 12! Drove all the way to NYC!

The place exploded when Jungle came on and the intensity didn't let down til about the fourth or fifth song!

Even meeting mygnr members was fun in NYC. I forget what the place was called where we met but then I ventured off to another bar close to the gig and it was just full of GNR fans! It was all GNR songs and it was fun talking to fellow fans, and I'm talking knowledgeable fans!

    The whole day was amazing!!

I was just to the left of Axl about 3rd row!

It was my first GNR concert so I didn't realize that I had hit my peak! The other 8 concerts did not compare! Energy was incredible in that place!!

I also went to the third show. It was great too but I was up in the balcony cuz my gf at the time wanted to sit! I actually had to trade my floors. It was great as well but nothing tops that first night!

I don't know why people bashed his 06 look. I never understood it. He had a really cool look. Perfect actually for his age, he was in great shape and it showed in his voice.

It seems obvious that getting in shape directly correlates with how well his voice is for obvious reasons.

I'm actually surprised that a perfectionist like Axl wouldn't put that effort to get in shape to get his voice back on track for his performances. He's so well known for wanting to put on the best show he can so its a bit surprising to me.
