I live in the now, not in 1991. Slash to me sucks now so why would I bother with wanting him in being in GnR?

I liked him on the GnR albums but live......pfffft. Only 1 gig he plays decent and that is Paris 1992, Hippodrome (the only gig which he seems to be sober in).

I watch and listen to old GnR bootlegs and Slash plays offkey half of the songs, missing riffs/chords all over the place and is searching for his shoes while the band-audience waits........because he is on drugs.

When you become a famous guitarist, play with some of the biggest names in the business, sell who knows how many albums, win awards, have the respect of legends such as B.B. King etc, then and only then can you criticize someone who has already achieved all of the above. Until then, SHUT UP.

So if it's already ate up 12-13 million in studio money who's had to pay for that? The album will have to sell enough to reimburse that before even thinking about profit...that's a lot of money for an album to make....Even if this album is a complete smash and sells likke crazy it may not make money, thoughts?

Well keep in mind that 13 million includes 32 songs not just 13 on CD. Therefore you can say that some of that 13 million was used for future GNR albums provided that Mr. Rose is sticking to his 3 album plan.

So you can't really say that all 13 million went towards Chinese Democracy.

When people say Cd is the most expensive album we might end up dividing it by 3 since it might be 3 albums worth of recording costs.

I really liked the album but they seem to be trying a little hard.  Everything just sounds so grandesque and overproduced.

Totally agree with that part, parachutes is a better album simply because it focuses on melody rather than some U2 copy. As you said, it's an excellent album but i feel that they would be better off sticking to a more raw sound. However, i never understand when people say "they are trying too hard". Should they not try hard to make the best album possible?

Just makes me think why GNR aren't capitalizing on the lack of good bands out there. RELEASE THE FUCKIN CD AXL!!!!

Any thoughts on Coldplay? I really hope GNR don't sound overproduced like this album does IMO.
