  1. "Angry Inch" was covered by Type O Negative. It's from the rock n roll musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Hedwig gets a botched sex change operation and is left with a "one inch mound of flesh where my penis used to be, where my vagina never was" If you haven't seen this movie, check it out. The songs are fantastic IMO.

  2. I just saw Weezer in July. They just stood there. It wasn't anything special, and not very entertaining. I imagine Foo Fighters will be a good show, never seen them. I wouldn't go unless it is very convenient, and hassle free.

  3. I would love to be able to dedicate these two songs to W. Axl Rose.

"Refugee" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "everybody's got to fight to be free"

    And

"Balls To the Wall" by Accept "lets drop a bomb in everyone's ass" ;p

  4. I saw a Ramones T-shirt at a dept. store the other week. I wanted it so bad, but I was revolted at the idea of buying the shirt there. My guess is anyone who buys the shirt won't have heard the music at all, other than the Ramones songs they are using on commercials now.

But I have peace in the fact that I got to see the Ramones up close and personal. Joey looked at me right in the eyes.

I had to go with the Ramones in the poll.

  5. "Sleepwalk" - Santos & Johnny

    "Salvation" - Rancid

"Don't Come Around Here No More" - Tom Petty

    "Green Eyed Lady" - Sugarloaf

"In Your Wildest Dreams" - Moody Blues

"The Origin of Love" - Hedwig and The Angry Inch

    "Revolution" - The Beatles

These have nothing to do with the radio, you would never hear most of them.

  6. TON could have released "Anesthesia" as a video. I feel they are playing up the humor to get more air time. It kind of pisses me off. I didn't like the video, I had to download it to see it, and I only watched it once. This is my favorite band I'm talking about here. I try to be objective and fair, but it just didn't work for me.

The title track "Life is Killing Me" would have worked well as a single too.

  7. I have seen Type O Negative a few times and they suffer from not having the kind of money needed to put on these caliber shows. Roadrunner Records has never put much money into promoting them. It is amazing how many albums they have sold considering they get almost no airtime on mtv or radio. Bloody Kisses was their only platinum record, most others have gone gold or over. The After Dark home video/DVD has gone gold. I constantly look for media about TON and it is very hard to find, even back then. TON got to tour with Motley in the mid ninties. It was a arena tour, most shows were only half sold, it was durring the time when Jon Corabi was singing with Motley.

The best gig they have had since then was Ozzfest sometime around 97'. Usually they play small theators or large clubs. It really breaks my heart that they have not been invited back to Ozzfest. They belong there more than most nu-metal crap these last years. I swear, I fell asleep durring Chevelle's performance the year I went.

I guess my point is, TON just dosen't have that kind of luck. They are fated to remain one of the biggest underground bands of all time. It is unbelieveable that of all the bands from the 90's Type O Negative have never called it quits. It's like they are the imortal undead.

  8. I have so much respect for them. They have been around since 92' and have never given up. All their songs are unique and different, yet they manage to never change their own sound. They are self produced (Josh), and self reproduced (Peter). They are working on a new album now, their first for a new label.

Did any of you know that Johnny Kelly (drummer) jams with Dizzy Reed sometimes? He has performed with Happenin harry a few times.
