  1. Audioslave

Radiohead (the only group better than G n' R)

    The White Stripes

    Coldplay

    Beck

    U2

There's many more. The only difference with today's music scene, is you have to search for alot the good ones.

I mean, I never see Hail to the Thief being advertised, yet it is easily the best album of the year, so far.

Maybe what's wrong with today's music scene is promotion. Who's being played and who's not.

But good bands haven't gone anywhere.

radiohead arent that new. theyve been around for a decade now.

    U2 several decades

but i agree, there are still good bands around.

  2. these are some of the bands that are currently goin that i am listening to?

    coldplay

    u2

    pearl jam

    zwan

    audioslave

    white stripes

    r.e.m

    radiohead

    darkness

    black crowes

    counting crows

    kings of leon

i could name a few more but the thing is that most of the bands that i'm listening to that are still going have been around for ages as have many of the bands in that list. i guess that speeaks volumes for much of today's music.

  3. yeah dude i heard axl wanted to releases 5 albums at the same time that's why he's taking a lot time ;)

and i heard Guns n' Roses were gonna releae an album. Funny that i could have sworn everyone has left baring Axl. But it must be GN'R........it say it on their website? ;)

  4. Alright. Maybe it was the wrong term but you know what I mean. Look at Keith Richard he never earned a dollar with a "normal" job. The only thing that he can is playing guitar.

I don't think that you can compare Dave Mustaine with Jimmy Page, Slash or anyone else on this list whether he kicks ass or not 8)

hey don't worry about it man i know exactly what u mean. Ii just like pointing things out for no reason :) 8)

  5. I'm also sick of today's music buisness!

But it will never be as it used to do.

I think GUNS N' ROSES was the last huge band in tradition of LED ZEPPELIN, PINK FLOYD, BLACK SABBATH, AEROSMITH, ROLLING STONES, METALLICA. Do you know what I mean? I can't imagine that there will be a similar huge band, a band that comes from the streets with cool true music and without compromisis cwm6.gif

i know what u mean, but i think 'from the streets' is the wrong term to use. i mean mick jaggar went to the LSE he ain't from the streets.

  6. i reckon fall 2004 ;)

fuck me that's ages away. What has he been doing for the last year since the VMA's and don't say he's ben putting the final touches on cos he's been doing that forever!!!!!!!AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH >:(

  7. rock music drives me nuts. 98% of anything close to Nu Metal sucks ass. All the modern rock sucks my ass. You know things are bad when I'd rather listen to Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears(making music) then the popular rock bands like Nickleback and all that shit. Todays music sucks except for a few really good bands. Fuck the modern rock radio. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

couldnt agree more. Bbut soon something will come along it always does. every now and again rock needs a good kick in the pants and it'll get one, the grunge scene proved that.

  8. lol...yeah, every rapper at least got shot once...

Like Snoop Dogg, he almost got shot...unfortunately, the body guards were there... :-/

did u hear his enterage got arrested for having 8 hand guns in their van. snoop dog is not allowed to have his body guards armed bexcause he is a convicted fellon.lol

  9. Once they release the album they'll definitely fill out arenas. they'll have something to plug. the last tour they had no record and hence little press. once they release the album they'll release a single and people will get to know about them.

but i still think they should start Europe.

  10. the more worrying thing is that his view point is shared by alot of funners. even slash has alluded to the fact there are alot of fans who don't see the current gn'r as gn'r. here's the quote "there are alot of loyal fans out there who don't see gun as guns without the original members who started it and so on so forth.........and i can understand that" (slash 99). Axl's got alot of fans to win over. i'm sure he can do it but i again reacert my belief he should have picked a new name because then half those criticism in that letter would not be applicable.

i think this guy who wrote the letter didnt go in with an open mind. but i can to a degree agree with him about watching the new gn'r play original gn'r tracks. personally it just looks a little weird to me watching a whole bunch of guys who had no input into those songs playin them. thats not neccesarilly the new guys fault they didnt pick the name. its more of and indietement of axl. however i do think once/if they release something then they will be judged more fairly. because that will truely be their work not the original line ups their's.

  11. lol...don't think it's possible...she can't sing, she'll shatter and break every bone in your body...

2Pac's manager...managed him "somehow" to get shot...

i live in the uk so i don think ill be seeing her anytime soon :). hey all rappers get shot once in their lives its part of the jobs decription for a rap artist manager. they probably have to be medically trained in removing bullets as part of the job description lol.

  12. It's way too much money for me or for the average citizen, but they do generate revenue. You did say the money has already been used, the initial contract at least.

it is too much for an average citizen but then again its not really aimed for the average citizen.

im not sure if they have soent the dough. the way the finances broke was something like this. the Fottball Aassociation of England (american equaivalent would be the nfl, mlb, nba) put up £200 million for the project. then i think there was 1 or 2 hundread million from our national lotterty, leaving £400 or so. much of that was £400 was covered by bank loans and i think these luxury boxes are going towards paing off those bank loans. sorry if i havent answered your question.

  13. Yeah thats cool. I hope yoou're right though :-/

Luxury suites are the coolest. It costs about $10,000 for one game for a stadium here in Florida. Thats alot of doug.

i think at wembly its gonna cost £200,000 to rent the box for a year and then and addition fee for the number of events i think that the case. wemley doesnt hosts events every week like a footballl team. it has concerts and international events which in total make a about 14 events a year so it is seriously expensive. not for the like of us.
