  1. No, GNR recorded 'Heaven's Door' for the tom cruise movie days of thunder in 1990.........I have heard that it is a different version than the one that made the Illusion albums.....Just looking for clarification to make sure its two different versions or the same as the illusion albums

There's extra lines during the second verse. That's really the only difference. Maybe a few less backing vocals. Its nothing special if you never hear it.

  2. Wow - you're all a bunch of fucking douches.

Waaah - the CD isn't coming out this year so I'm downloading it! Axl's a meanie!

I want the album as bad as anyone else, but if it isn't out there year, guess what? I'll still buy it the day its out in stores. This whole "I'm taking my ball and going home" attitude some of you have is fucking ridiculous.

Get the sand out of your vaginas and buy it like the rest of us *REAL* fans will.

i feel like taking my ball and bat and smashing it over the kids head who keeps running his mouth!,

anywho, i still love this band, love the music! but sick of axls shit, sick of mercks shit, they mislead me to make money? i use them for free music!.

This just makes you sound like a whiny bitch. No-one mislead you in order to take your money. Didn't you see a kick ass show when you bought a ticket? Guess what bucko - that's all that a ticket entitles you to. Nothing more and nothing less.

Real fans won't steal this album. That's all there is to it.

  5. Shit man.. I'm sick and tired of Axl dissin other bands and thinkin he is the king.. Screw Axl.. Enough is enough.. He ain't the man he once was.. Once Chinese Democracy is finished (if it's ever complete), Axl can shove it up his own ass for all I care.. I love GNR, but this unacceptable..

    Dude.

    Shut the fuck up.

Eagles of Death Metal suck and I'm glad Axl did what he did.

GUNS N' ROSES Manager: EAGLES OF DEATH METAL Could Not Handle Audience Response - Dec. 1, 2006

GUNS N' ROSES' manager Merck Mercuriadis has responded to the claims by the EAGLES OF DEATH METAL leader Jesse "The Devil" Hughes that GN'R bassist Tommy Stinson threw down his bass in disgust after Axl Rose went off on the EAGLES after Hughes and Co. opened for GN'R at Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena Friday night (Nov. 24). EAGLES OF DEATH METAL took the stage in Cleveland to open the first of what was supposed to be 15 North American dates on the GUNS N' ROSES tour, but exited the trek after just that one performance following an onstage rant by Rose, during which he nicknamed the band "The Pigeons of Shit Metal" before informing his audience that the gig would be the EAGLES' last on the tour.

"When [Rose] called us the 'Pigeons of Shit Metal', Tommy Stinson took his bass off, threw it down and went, 'Fuck you, that's it!' to Axl," Hughes told MTV.com. "And then Axl picked [stinson's] bass up and threw it at [him]."

Mercuriadis disagreed with Hughes' account. "There is no truth to either claim [that Rose fired a crew member or that Stinson threw down his bass] as evidenced by the fact that our crew remains identical to when the tour started almost six weeks ago, and to say Axl threw a bass at Tommy is pure fiction," he told MTV.com. "The EAGLES OF DEATH METAL were asked to leave the tour not only because GUNS N' ROSES' audience hated them and tore them apart but because they could not handle the response. They were supposed to play a 60-minute set but left the stage after 42 minutes due to the hostile reception. The facts do not support the image they are trying to portray, which is why they are attempting to put this spin on it."

Some credit to the poster you got that from on HTGTH would be nice..

  7. You people are fucking insane.

Do you know how bad strep throat can become if it goes untreated and without rest?

I had a base case of it my sophomore year of high school. I was sick as a fucking dog for two weeks straight - could barely talk, couldn't swallow - nothing.

Axl has to go out there and sing and perform every night. I couldn't even move for the better part of two weeks, and you want Axl to perform?

Does that mean Axl's going to miss two weeks worth of shows?!

God, I hope this is one of those mild cases of strep that only effects Axl before poorly selling concerts.

I hope not. I was being treated with antibiotics and everything and it knocked me out for two weeks. Apparently, I was close to pneumonia.

  9. FROM MELODICROCK.COM:

A little more on that December 19 release date for Chinese Democracy. An update from my original source: "...GNR mgmt is wavering on that date and that they (Universal) don't even know if it's solid anymore...they told me they don't expect it anymore in 2006..."

Ok, see you back here in May for the next GNR album update!

  10. GUNS N ROSES - THE QUESTIONS REMAIN:

I have had a lot of enquires on how solid the December 19 release date for Guns N Roses' Chinese Democracy might be. Answer - who the hell knows! It is only as good as the other 27 release dates that have come to pass thus far. One rumor suggests that the release is now planned for June or July 2007, while HMV Canada also lists the December 19 date.

Where did I get that date from? A long time source informed me he saw it printed on an internal memo while visiting a Universal Records office a week or two back. But even that doesn't mean much in the world of Axl Rose. Believe it has been released only when you are holding the CD in your hands.

Speaking of Guns N Roses, a good buddy was at a recent GNR show to cover the event, but was told by organisers to: "...take no pictures, to not look at him or not talk to him because he'd cancel the show..."

  11. Don't waste your time waiting, it will come out when it's ready.

Who are the fans to say when a CD, that they know almost nothing about, is ready for release. Sure, Axl said it would come out this year, but a lot of shit happens. Trying to finish up a CD AND do a world tour isn't exactly the easiest thing to do.

So just give it a break, don't let this shit get to you.

The album was supposedly done back in September. I think its out of Axl's hands at this point, to be honest. Regardless - Merck needs to keep us informed.

  12. GnR fans have always been in the dark, it will never change.

    Wildheart - Great sig.

    Thanks, Jonezy.

And yeah, we've always been in the dark, but from Sept. to the end of Oct., it was non-stop info. It seemed like they were finally going to get this thing out, and now the well is dry again. I don't know. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't losing faith.

  13. I think this is rather pointless.

I agree that they need better interactions and updates with/for fans, but making a petition won't change anything.

    No offense.

I just want some kind of info. I'm tired of being kept in the dark. The fact that Merck has gone silent and the Better commercial has apparently been pulled has me concerned that everything is on hold again - tour or not.

  14. I don't know about you guys, but my patience is ready to hit the boiling point. I'm thankful for the two shows I saw this year (5/15 Hammerstein and MSG), and I'll always go see them if they come to PA or NY, but the lack of any concrete info with a release date is starting to drive me nuts. So I don't know what else to do but to start a petition asking Merck for something - throw us a bone, even if its to verify that "X Tuesdays in 2006" still applies - because I'm losing hope that we're gonna see this thing this year.
