I prefer Floyd though forty licks has a lot of great songs on it. And I agree with some of the others that I just don't like Floyd songs being broken off their respective works of art and pasted together in a greatest hits compilation. It lacks the continuity and magic that each album has individually. But I still pick Echoes hands down...

definately have to see that. I'm curious how they'll play out the murder/suicide ?? angle. I know most people think he killed himself. But check out this site. There is a ton of info on it that was compiled by a private investigator who was working the Cobain case. After reading it all I had my suspicions. give it some time of you can spare it.

This is a tough one. Both bands were huge in the 70's and then went on to transcend accross the generations and redefined the music industry and still remain popular today. I have to go with Zeppelin on this one though because they have done everything as far as mixing different music genres and did it better than anybody. I' could go with Floyd though for their sheer artistry in creating epic masterpieces. Fuck it ! I'm undecided. Null vote...
I forgot about the Stones !!! They're great but finish third to these two bands

I hate the Goo Goo Dolls. I just saw one of their videos on VH1 and could only stand about 15 seconds of it before I started hyperventilating and feeling ill and to prevent my ears from bleeding I quickly ran to the CD player and threw in some Rage Against the Machine, "Killing in the Name" specifically. I feel much better now but I'm still a little shaken up...

the antivirus software on my PC does that. It's McAfee and there is a tab that shows you all inbound events and lists all the IP addresses accessing your computer and where they are from. If you don't already have something like that on your PC It should be easy to find on various download sites

I just listened to all of those songs just to refresh my memory. Fuck, I love them all. It's a tough call. I was thinking between battery and blackened but hearing the intro to Sandman just sold me...

Zeppelin is to GNR like God is to Jesus. I mean what band at some point or another hasn't been influenced by led/zep ? And GNR has done great work in the church of rock but their revered accomplishments never reached that of the pius Led Zeppelin. My opinions might change though if the new Axl Guns tears off some great albums. The potential has always been there. Robert Plant's new solo album is great too by the way...

They are both great at what they do. I mean you can't even compare the two because their musical styles are so different. But as artists Floyd didn't just release an album with some songs on it. They told epic stories and took us on sonic adventures that are far beyond what most bands have done.

That was shit. The only remotely good/interesting parts were when Roger dedicated WYWH to Syd, and their linking arms goodbye at the end. Apart from that, it was uniform wank.

Obviously Appetite for Destruction was the best but other than that nothing else compares to Metallica's Master of Puppets or the Beastie Boys License to Ill or ACDC'S first album with Brian Johnson Back in Black. These were all ground breaking albums in their respective times. I also liked Janes Addiction's Nothing Shocking, Soundgarden's Ultramega Ok and Faith no More's The Real Thing considering that they were way ahead of their time...
