A reunion would be the worst thing that could ever happen. It's bad enough that Axl has been tarnishing the legacy the last few years. A reunion would completely destroy the legacy. They will become a band that tours state fairs with Quiet Riot and Dokken.

A reunited GNR would be selling out stadium's across the world.

The only people who actually care about GNR are the guys who started it. No matter what they say, they had a chemistry and magic that has not surfaced in any other band ever since.

GNR is and will always be remembered as Axl, Slash, Steven, Izzy and Duff. Deny it all you want, that's the band that will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and that's the band the public actually gives a shit about.

Well it looks like the Slash rumor is not true because Dizzy said so . I believe him because he gave a " I don't know" answer to every question except that one.

I just listened to the interview and Dizzy did not deny anything. He, like every question about Guns, didn't say anything really.

the even longer answer.....wow, some people cant understand marketing, so here is a crash course: people remember the old band, and non-fans will see this and think "hey, i saw them before, well, ill pay the admission" and then spend the money and feel fucked over (which they shouldnt, the New and Improved GNR will rock the fuckin house)

If you knew anything about marketing, you would know that all the images used in the promotional posters have to be approved from GNR or Axl before it is released.

If these are the actual posters being used there, then it is kinda of weird into why AXL would approve those. He is trying to distance himself from the former gunners, at least that's how I perceive it. They never used old guns photos in the promo materials on the 2002 tour.

The poster is most likely fan made, but if this is official, then something is definetely up. There have been reports of using old guns footage in the tv promos for the tour.

Best thing to do is just wiat and enjoy the ride. The tour will be happening soon.

I'm not 100% sure I buy the "he can't sing that way anymore" line. Basically the last song that old GNR recorded ('Sympathy For the Devil' in 1994), Axl sounded great and displayed range and grit in his vocals. Between 1994 and 2000 (when he primarily wasn't even singing) did he just lose the ability? I doubt it. Like a previous poster said, he is probably choosing not to sing in that manner, either to help his voice, piss off the people who like the old band, or comepletely go in a new direction with his vocals.

Bullshit, he has smoked and drank for years and he sings in a destructive way, he is worn down and unable to sing like he used to.

What makes you think he has cut down smoking and drinking? I saw him in 2002 in an after hours lounge here the day before the show, and he was smoking cigars and drinking shots all night long.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. If the shows in Europe were the start of some sort of reunion tour, do you honestly think it would be all hush hush like this? The management would be shouting it from the rooftops. Why? Because far to much money would be involved. Imagine the tickets they could shift if this was a reunion tour?

They wouldn't want to announce anything with out all the contracts drawn up, completed and signed. If it were to happen, a press conference will happen and that's all they really need.

Hush hush? Rumors have been going like wildfire ever since Ross Halfin started the rumor. Know we know Slash has been to see Axl etc.. this is the most hype the reunion rumor has ever had in a long long time.

To you it was just a rock band... but what about the rest of the world who tried to be like Slash or Axl or the rest of the gunners. They immortalized the Sleaze rock scene to the rest of the world. Bands are still trying to live that way. Go to any cities local scene and you will see it first hand for yourself. They glamorized a certain attitude and lifestyle to a generation of people who hadn't seen that before. They still have a big affect on people to this day.

Just some 'rock tunes'! Dude, you wouldn't and I wouldn't be sitting on our asses talking about this band on a message board if it just was about some 'rock tunes'! They obviously had a big part of our lives, and will continue to be a part of our lives.

In 1994-99, AXL was all about the sort of style that was heard on "Oh My God". That's the style that AXL wanted to go to. None of the old guys wanted that, so they left.

After "Oh My God" was released, and it got bad reviews in the media and etc.. it seems AXL went back to a more traditional rock and roll style to his music. I think all these new leaks were recorded after Oh My God. Axl just changed his style.

To say the old guys were against progression is laughable. They did record the Illusion records, remember! That was a huge change in the band's style, and it pissed off a lot of fans, but gained them a million more.

Slash wanted to go back to the roots of the band. What made them big in the first place. You can't fault the guy for wanting to do that. GNR is a bluesy rock and roll band whether you like it or not. The difference between them and others at the time is that they had more of a cross genre appeal then others. They appealed to punk, metal, classic rock, dirty rock fans, and hit it big with the more adult crowd with the ballads. Every member brought something real different to the table, and that's what made them untochable.

This new material is not that much different then the material on the UYI's. I hope AXL does fine with the new records, and he succeeds. But I can't help to wonder how much better these tracks would be if the originals played on them.

There is something definetely going on in the GNR camp. Whether it's the reunion, or the release of CD or whatever remains to be seen.

For all the people who say that a GNR reunion will never happen,,, never say never. These guys are brothers. AXL loves Slash and Slash loves AXL. They are family who just had a fight that escalated into murky territory because of the media. The media tends to overinflate things.

It's obvious Slash wants to work with AXL, and that AXL would jump at the chance to work with Slash again. They are perfect together, and GNR would rule the world once again.

I can definetely see a reunion happen. Stranger things have happened in this world. And now is the perfect time for it to happen.

Fuck GNR and there brain dead management. You have fans that have been waiting over 10 fucking years for this. AXL has fucked over his fans left and right, and they still come back asking for more. Now they want to go the Metallica route and take legal action over some demos? Fuck AXL and Merck and Sanctuary. They are lucky they even have fans in the first place after all this bullshit.

By the time this album comes out, I will probably be collecting social security! If tracks come up, then I will download them. Fuck you if you think it's wrong. Release the fucking album already. What do you have to lose, when you have already alienated most of your fanbase. Pricks.

This is my favorite one so far. I agree that it shows that Axl has moved on. I think one of the problems with old bands putting out new music is that they always try to duplicate what they did before, and that's why they almost always fail. This is a new sound and it sounds great, and I think it will be very well received by the public.

I don't think any of the new songs sound anything remotely drastic or different to the styles that were experimented on the Illusion records. There are a couple little bits that are different, but all these songs could of been on the Illusion records. None of this stuff is really 'that' different.

Oh My God and My World are probably the most drastic change in styles that Axl has recorded, and one of them is on the UYI records.

Halfin has nothing to gain for starting bullshit rumors. He is one of the most famous and well known rock and roll photographers in the biz. He is friends with many bands including ex-members of GNR.

He is privy to many things that none of us have any idea about.

He did say that Metallica and GNR would both play Download Fest a long time ago. Guess what? they both came true. Now it's on'y the reunion part that has to be proven false, and until management says it's bullshit.. I still believe his 'rumour' will come true.

I believe he also did say that he was shooting GNR in his original post that got deleted.
