  1. United Abominations. I couldn't get into DM and I personally found St Anger to be a better album.

I got into Megadeth by listening to some Metallica a few years back now and somewhere along the way I found Holy Wars etc and instantly I preferred them. Not to say I don't like Metallica, I just feel that the two latest Megadeth albums came across as stronger albums, closer to the sorta metal Megadeth had been straying away from on their previous stuff. Sleepwalker and Washington Is Next still kicks ass as an opener to an album, drags you right in and kicks your ass. :o

As a side note, cannot wait to see Megadeth this February, along with Judas Priest and Testament.

  2. yuppers... if it dont come out this month, ive lost my faith

shut up man. it's such a childish comment. i fuckin hate these responses....or is it a threat? i can't tell. either way, it's useless.

Or maybe it's the fucking truth? I don't know about you but I feel this waiting game is getting somewhat silly.

  3. 2. I got to see AXL and co. twice this year. First at Hammerstien and again at MSG ( both Amazing shows ) and I challenge anyone to say they've seen a "better" show this year......anyone.......anyone.....

I saw Muse last saturday, and believe me, it's a close call between the two. Muse put on a great show.

  4. Signed.

I saw GN'R this year in the UK, it was a fucking awesome experience, and despite what some people say, it was a great show despite what some people called a poor setlist. If you want to complain about the setlist, go to the show FIRST, then come away from it saying it was a let down because I bet you anything, you couldn't.

  5. The album will be full of them. I heard a rumour that if you play the songs backwards, subliminal messages will appear... ... ... ... ... :D

In all seriousness, I am currently more bothered about the album being released than it having hidden tracks on.

  6. For the title track, I believe that it's not so strong compared to Better, IRS or There Was a Time. It's okay I guess just doesn't do the name of the album any justice with its title track being so much worse (Although not bad) than most of the other songs we heard. That being said, the studio/album version might just blow my head off. Let's hope I am right. :D

  7. Why flame the guy? He linked to a Wikipedia page that has probably been edited by some fan who thought it might be funny to take the piss, simple as. If you have a problem with the page, get an account and edit it. :P

  8. Just a lot of jumping around. That though was fun. See, GN'R this year was my first ever gig, and I was SHIT scared of going down front but I did and I must say, I loved it. There were a few people crowd surfing etc but they generally ended up getting taken right to the front and security got them out. A few emos tried to start a mosh pit behind me and BFMV were playing but no one seemed to give a shit to be honest, we just wanted GN'R.

  9. Well, I got myself a job an electronics store. And I get paid in 2 weeks. So the plan is. Buy a fucking massive hifi and get home with CD and play it through constantly as loud as I can. :D

  10. When he got the 'what this means to me' in The Blues wrong by coming in too early, at Download I believe it was. Axl basically improvised, it didn't sound good but atleast he got away with it. The band carried on and it didn't cause a problem. Worked well. Maybe my memory is fucking up on me, but I have an MP3 of it on right now so... I know it happened. XD

  11. I have promised myself to go to more than one gig next time GNR tour in the UK. Probably go the most local shows, Manchester, Sheffield and so on. I have a job now too, so I can afford both the travel, tickets and so on. I really do hope GNR tour again in the UK, and soon. I had one taste of GNR, and I want a shitload more.

  12. The crowd would go fucking nuts. But whether or not in a good way... I don't know. Chances are it won't happen anyway.

I'd like to see a like... Guitar solo battle between Slash and Finck at a GNR gig though, that would be brilliant.

  13. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like some of the tour will be done with the album out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Fuckin super happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GUNS N ROSES, GUNS N ROSES, GUNS N ROSES, GUNS N ROSES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets hope we dont have to wait much longer.

    rock3rock3rock3rock3rock3rock3

Haha, just noticed where you live. Let's hope GNR come back to Sheffield, England again and play the Hallam FM Arena. :D

Fucking great news, and I really cannot wait to see what comes of this, even within the next few days. A new site would be great, and if the new site launched with a release date, I'd just... sex over it. Or something. o_O

  14. See, I've only been to one GNR show in my life and that was in Sheffield, 2006. I was right down the front for the majority of the show and the crowd were really going mad, but all the energy seemed to die when The Blues was played. No one knew the words, and to be honest, I felt I was the only person singing along.

So what is it with the new songs that 'kill' the excitement in the place? I mean, it's not just The Blues, I've been listening to a few live versions of I.R.S and Better, and it seems that they only get a reasonable reaction by the crowd after they've been played.

I love the new songs (and it was a shame I.R.S and Better weren't played when I went to see GNR) but live, they seem to bring the audience down a level. I hope GNR come back to the UK in 2007, after CD hits the shelves and fans get a listen of it because the fact they don't know where the song is coming from might affect their reactions of it.

The reactions they get usually are poor to that of another song. I feel they're worth more of the crowds time, as the new songs are pretty damn fantastic.

  15. Even though they were somewhat silent with details, great effort and well done for trying. I mean, just getting the recordings was good enough on their own, but attempting a call to Geffen to ask what was going on... you done us all a great favour. See, it's shit like this that makes me believe this album is ready to see the light of day. So you win, because this was quite a morale boost for us all. :D

  16. I went to my first concert to see GNR this year, at the age of 16. I was right down the front, lots of jumping around, if you do go down the front, jump WITH the crowd because it's fun to be moved along with them, just prepare to get covered in water, sweat (not just your own, btw) beer, and such Wear shoes that aren't slip ons too, otherwise from all the jumping, you'd probably lose them XD. I wore my Converse, pretty tight and I still nearly lost one of them.

As for being alone, I went with a friend too who was also a first timer at any concert, we were nervous, but we got chatting to the people planning on going down front as we got there early, stuck around with a guy who was a bit older, 20 or so and he assured us we'd be fine. He was right. So see if there's anyone who you can chat to, do so. Other than that, go where you're comfortable with, I mean, down the front if you're brave, a reasonable distance if you're nervous. Or do what I did. Down the front until you really can't take much more, THEN get a reasonable distance away. That way you get to experience both the lively shit down at the front, especially for the 3 opening songs, and further back later on, to have a calm experience to just enjoy the music.

Just enjoy the show your own way, you'll have a fucking great time.

  17. It's the perfect time to release the SUPER-DUPER-SECRET song that only myself and Axl have heard, (That's right, even the rest of the band haven't heard it yet. They were made to wear earmuffs so they couldn't tell anyone how it sounded.) it's called September Rain, and it fucking rocks.

Although, seriously. I hope for a new song and possible a damn release date for this album during the US shows. What would be funny is if GNR were playing a live show, broadcast on TV, internet and possibly radio. Half way through, Axl tells the crowd the album is in stores NOW. It'd be fun to see how many people leave the show to get a copy of the album and how many stay to the end of the set. :D
