Holy fuck. The GNR site is updated. THIS HAS TO BE A DREAM. Glad to see something happen.

Saw this myself, it was pretty cool. Right from the start of the show they mentioned the fact there was a story on popular live music coming up so I stuck with it, I assumed it might mention the GNR tour. If I remember rightly, the GNR bit sounded like this:

"Even without an album, crowds came to see Guns N' Roses headlining The Download Festival this year. Fans have been waiting 9 years for their next release."

It was something to that effect so don't murder me if it's not 100% accurate. D:

Just the once myself, 2006, Sheffield Hallam FM Arena. Was a great experience though and I plan to see GNR should they tour again, especially if they come back to Sheffield.

Man I was there, one HELL of a fucking show. You might think the set was shit but to be honest, the crowd was so up for it and so damn fucking active that the show was great, regardless.

I am guessing that they're all the same otherwise they'd have been marked seperately. Mine are the same, just saying Standing Area. Dont take my 100% word on it though, I could be wrong

Mama Kin would have been awesome, Hope they play it in its entirity at some point. Sounds like an awesome show, though.

Filled with old footage of concerts, the old logo and SCoM playing in the background. There was a lot of footage of Axl and nothing of the new band, and I think they avoided showing the old members of the band as much as possible. First time I have seen an ad for this and it was pretty poor, laughable really. Makes you wonder if the promoters for this tour are bothered, partly because the show still isn't sold out so close to the date. Still should be a great show, regardless.

I fucking hope they cancel UK dates with GNR. :/

According to the Hallam FM Arena website, as well as Bullet For my Valentine, Sebastian Bach will be onstage at 6:40 as a guest on the evening Guns are set to play to the Arena. The current timing for the event is as follows:

The show is set to end around 11pm, of course with Bach reportedly playing in Sheffield on the opening of the UK touring, it spells good news for the rest of the UK tour. Expect Bach to be playing with Guns in future dates too.

Wow, I was half expecting it to be 18 myself. Well, thanks a bunch for that. I know I can definately go then. Just to order those tickets tomorrow.

If the album isn't released, I honestly don't fancy waiting another four years for Axl to emerge again and tour, saying it will be out in the year in which he does. 2006 to early 2007 is it for Guns N' Roses really. The press will pay no attention to the band if there is no album soon, a lot of the fans I believe will feel the same way I do that if we don't see the album very soon then it's probably never going to appear.

So... remain optimistic we'll see it this year! It can be done!

Chances are I am going to be up at 8am tomorrow and on the phone at 9am ordering myself two tickets but before I do I would like to know a few things. It says all tickets are roughly £40 and that they're adult tickets. What do they class adult as? 16 or 18? Because myself, I am 16 and I am probably going with a mate of the same age.

QUICK EDIT: I called the Arena, but I ain't gonna trust the woman fully because she sounded a bit dippy, she said it was 14...

As well as that, how many of you guys are going to the Hallam FM Arena in Sheffield to see GN'R playing live? I know that I am gonna try my damn best to, and I know it'll be a damn awesome show!

It'd be great if I could get to hear these tracks, one way or another.

Might sound silly, but for you who are having trouble watching the vids...

If you have a router, try connecting to the internet through something other than that. I was trying through my router, nothing but black screens and the error message a few people are getting. I then installed my old USB modem and it works now, so just a suggestion for some of you out there.

Not really, in addition to that we were never meant to hear I.R.S, There Was a Time or Better until the shows last night. So if they'd never been leaked, that would have been something new to hear. That and I believe he's not going to be showing the newer material until the larger live shows.

I'll be waiting for the bootlegs. :s

Seriously though, an awesome contest for promoting CD would be a chance to get a trip to China, and then free tickets to any of the live shows the winner prefers to go to, fully accomodated to whichever country they choose to see a show in.

And I'll get my friend to drive to Sheffield. Sheffield's near London, right?

Yer, I live in Sheffield. Would be quite awesome if GN'R played here really, even if I couldn't afford a ticket I could probably watch the show from the top of the hill on which I live, that's if they play in the outside venue as opposed to indoors. I remember my whole street being out to listen to a Micheal Jackson concert YEARS ago and you could hear the music and watch it all on a screen. So yes, it would be pretty damn cool if 'Guns' played a few more dates in the UK. Let's hope.

If you can't tell, I am by no means serious. Although, I find this funny to be honest. I am starting to believe that more and more rappers are losing their talent, the amount of 'new' rap songs I hear are just ripping a recognized part of a rock song, playing it in the background and having a group of no-talents with funny nicknames shit over it with poorly written crap. D:

Maybe so, but there are still record companies out there putting software other than rootkits onto their CD's to protect them, and I bet Sony still has some sort of protection on their CD's albeit probably not as drastic as the rootkit. I remember my Franz Ferdinand CD was unable to play on my PC, let alone being able to rip it. If Chinese Democracy has anything such as that I won't be pleased. I am by no means a pirate, I have no intention of sharing Chinese Democracy on the internet but buying a CD should allow me to play it on a device as well as save it to the device. I believe that counts as fair use and if that isn't fair use then someone correct me, but I still believe otherwise.

Okay, surely all of you are music fans and recently a lot of record companies and such are coming under fire for trying all sorts of absurd methods to stop piracy of their products. Rootkits, making the CD almost impossible to play on the PC itself and having to install software in order to play it on a PC and still not have the means to rip the CD to a computer. Personally I find it a pointless cause to stop people from having the rights to play and rip their purchased CD to a computer.

So, here's what I ask. When Chinese Democracy is released, (I see it as When and not If) what are the chances of it being filled with DRM software and such? With an album with so much work behind it over so many years and with so much money, how far do you think GNR Management would go to stop it being ripped from a CD, from being played on a computer and ultimately put onto the net? (No, I am not in favour of it being put onto the net AT ALL, I am just not keen on DRM stuff.)

If it does happen, do you think it will affect you? Will you be angry and will it put you off buying it? Personally I would be damned angry because I spend a lot of my time at my PC and therefore would enjoy being able to listen to and rip it to my PC.
