Death Star
I need help on purchasing a 5 string bass. I would like one that kinda has the Fender shape but with 24 frets. Whats out there? I was thinking about getting an Ibanez Soundgear but what do you guys recomend? santana
I've had my eye on this one for a while:http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-ESP-F255FM-STBK.html#24 frets, neck-thru body, 3-band active EQ... not bad for the price. santana
I never really liked 7-string guitars. Instead of having a 7-string, I take one of my 6-strings and leave out the high-E and add a low-B string. Basically making it a baritone. I do pretty much the same thing with my bass, although I've been thinking about getting a 5-string.

santana
How in the hell do they have the strings configured on an 11-string? I know it's not like a 12-string missing a string, what are they tuned to?
