Marky Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Trent Reznor has said Nine Inch Nails' 2009 gigs will be their last "for the foreseeable future".Writing on nin.com, Reznor offered little explanation as to why the band would stop touring, but did say he wanted to try a "different approach" to playing live."This was an amazing tour and production - certainly the best thing I've ever been involved with and likely the final tour for Nine Inch Nails on this scale," he said."The shows we have announced in 2009, and any more that may be announced, will be a completely different approach with some different personnel, and will likely be the last for the foreseeable future."As NME.COM previously reported, Nine Inch Nails recently recruited Lostprophets drummer Ilan Rubin to play for them.Nine Inch Nails' current tour is due to finish in Las Vegas this Saturday (December 13).The band currently have six shows booked for 2009 in New Zealand and Australia, starting on February 17.http://www.nme.com/news/nine-inch-nails/41541 Quote
Tater Totts Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 FUCK I was hoping they would tour the UK next year so I could see them again Quote
Cosmo86 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 So long as he writes new music I am not too concerned about his touring plans. Quote
RJ88 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 he's probably just going to take a few years off...well deserved considering he's released 4 albums & a DVD (with potentially another one from this past tour) in about a year and a halflots of people are also saying he'll be working on the mini-series based on Year Zero Quote
