Guns N' Roses Trademarks

Thanks Rocker that is what the links were saying...If an artists song gets played by someone else they are supposed to get a small royalty...I don't know who pays but seems to me someone has to........

It depends. If the venue often functions as a music venue, they'll generally handle this. Problem solved--it's a part of their normal business operations. If not, the performer will need to make sure it gets taken care of. It doesn't really matter who arranges for the license and who pays, as long as the agency gets paid (and then pays the songwriter).

As for the trademark filings, the filing dates are all from before Slash left the band. It doesn't matter much whether they're up-to-date or not, as long as Axl can produce documentation to prove that ownership of the name ended up with him (via contracts, court orders, or whatever).
