Carlos Castaneda
Marc, Axl has been a huge influence on my life in many ways and none more so than in my musical tastes. He was the person to turn me on to U2. Im curious if he he continued to love U2 after the UYI era? Do you know if he attended any U2 gigs in the 2000's. Has he shared anything about his love of their music in the 2000's? Has he told you any good Bono stories? Im also curious if you have ever attended a concert with Axl? And, has Axl ever turned you on to a band that you eventually ended up loving? The more detailed the answer the better. Thanks.
recklessroad
Axl likes a lot of different kinds of music. That is why he brought so much to the band. Slash was the hard rock /blues guy Izzy was the stones guy Duff was the punk guy and steven had a nice fit to what they were doing back then. Axl was a bit of everything plus some because he was into so many different kinds of music. From 10CC to Nazareth and a lot in-between. I know he thought highly about Bono but I don't know for how long or if he still does. I do remember a lot of times when we were driving around and a song would come on the radio, he would say" I love that song haven't heard it in a while" and turn it up. One time he came to my house and I had the first Cars record on and he was happy that it was on. So Axl is not closed minded when it comes to good music.
