Gigger
who is bigger in europeOasis were bigger in the mid to late nineties. Certainly after the release of What's the Story Morning Glory. U2 became a bigger band again when they released "Beautiful Day" probably. At the moment, U2 are certainly a bigger band. But in their heyday Oasis were the biggest band in Britain.U2 have been a massive band for 20 years however. Gigger
Why thank you.Right now U2 are a much bigger band than Oasis. No question! One thing I like about Noel Gallagher is that he has a lot of respect for certain people in the music industry and he really values their opinion and work. Bono and U2 are certainly very important people to Noel. With Oasis new album coming out in May it'll be interesting to see whether they can start to regain their crown! Gigger
U2 destroys Oasis . Case Closed . Peace GnR Nation B)Moron...We've already cleared this up with FACTS... That Oasis were bigger at one point but not anymore. When BritPop was the most popular music in Britain, Oasis were the biggest band in Europe.Don't post bullshit and then say "case closed"...*edit* Being from New York you must have a very good grasp of the European music scene in the mid to late 90s. Case Closed Edited November 20, 2004 by failure_to_communicate

stratomaster
Replying to the question, U2 are bigger in Europe I would think. They're the biggest band in the World aren't they?

JeanGenie
I think U2 is by far not a better band than Oasis but they'Re more accepted by the public which isn't always a good thing. But we all have different tastes no need to fuck around with each other.
