Amps, and pedals

Recommended Posts

okay i have 2 problems/ questions.. First my guitar amp, on the clean channel, when i hit a lower frequency note, it makes a really ugly buzzing sound? could this be that the speaker is broken? ive noticed it only happens when my amp is on for too long, maybe its the tubes? by the way my amp is a fender hot rod deluxe, so if you can help in anyway on that problem i appreciate it...

and secondly, im looking into buying a good distortion pedal soon, and would like to take suggestions from anyone.. ive been using my amps distortion, but im lookng for more..

Thanks guys

It could have something to do with your guitar, maybe fretbuzz. If thats the problem, take your guitar to a guitar technician and have it set up.....if the amp is the problem, it might have something to do with your tubes. When was the last time you changed your tubes?

its not my guitar.

I dont know if it is the tubes, it might be.. but i asked a guy at a music store today, and he said it might be my speaker, but he didnt know. The tubes are original since i bought it. How often should i have them replaced?

lol, it doesnt happen frequently.. usually only after i've played with my amps distortion. And i just bought a boss overdrive/distortion pedal, so ill see if when i use that, the same thing happens.

And if i turn down the low eq, it sounds super ugly, so thats not an option for me :-/
