I havent heard of that being common, a lot of people and this board probably do it inspired slashBut there's no denying the fact that seymour duncan make great pickups, but still there is nothing wrong with the burstbucker....All in all it just depends on what you want yourself

Chrisi Rokks
Personally i find burstbuckers er too bright if you get me. Seymour Duncans are a little heavier IMO. I like them better
FORKS
the burstbucker is a very versatile pick up but crash diet is right. its pretty bright. the duncans are hotter and give you a heavier sound

I see, well if you test a guitar with seymour duncans you'll get the general idea
slashNstrad
which model of duncans did slash use in the AFD days?
s_vonen
which model of duncans did slash use in the AFD days? I'm not sure, because I read somewhere that he had a pair PAF's in his first Les Paul(the one that was a copy) but apart from that he has always used Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II, but I'll ask a good friend of mine later, he knows all these things
