a melodic death metal band who turned into a nu-metal band.

IMO,their early material is quite good, but their new material is crap.

Who else likes them?

In Flames are far from nu-metal. They are however getting more technical. I like their progression. I don't want to hear the same album recorded over and over again. I will admit that each of the last two albums each had one song that hinted at nu-metal (Cloud Connected and The Quiet Place). The rest are mostly heavy thrashers. The old stuff is better which is true with many bands. Many In Flames fans who don't like the new stuff want an album like The Jesters Race. Well if a want to hear The Jesters Race again... I will listen to The Jesters Race---- again....
