motownjunkie
Im a big fan of the manics 1989 to 1995. Their Heavenly recordings of You Love Us and Motown Junk was a resurrection of punk manifesto! and clever lyrics. Generation Terrorists is a mix of The Clash with Guns N Roses Appetite era.Since Richey left that spark has died off a bit. The Holy Bible is also a classic! any fans? Fizz
Their early stuff is their best aye. James is also a very good guitarist and used it to potential in those days like the solos in "You Love Us" and other memorable licks in other songs.Great band but I found the new album relied too much on the electronics. motownjunkie
His solo in Stay Beautiful is a classy one. Slash N Burn is also vintage Manics. They have recently played Paradise City as their live intro to Motown Junk on the last tour.
