It's on "X".I think "Hysteria" is one of the best produced and tightest sounding rock albums ever. It's tied with "Appetite" and "The Joshua Tree" as my favorite 80s albums. Their studio sound is awsome, i've never seen them play live - i wonder how they would be ? Because they do put alot of effort in mixing - their drum sound is awsome, and overdubs are great. In 1980 they were definatly metal. In 1982 with High N' Dry they became hard rock and in 1983 with pyromania they became rock and basicly helped in creating hair metal. With Hysteria people say they turned hair metal, but really its only because hair metal bands copied Def Leppards style after that so they get lumped in with them. Really one of my favoruite bands.
