johnezz Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 I'm not sure what you mean?Gibson make more different types of models, Fender has the Strat, Tele, Jaguar, Mustang, Jazzmaster and Showmaster. Gibson has the Les Paul, SG, Explorer, Flying V, Firebird, Nighthawk, 335 and many more models of archtops and semi acoustic eletrics.But,Fender has a higher rate of production as they are more popular. You could build a Telecaster on Mars, and it's still a Telecaster. I think that Gibson has had more models over the years. If you think of their semi-hollow models, and all their discontinued models (Marauder, L6S, ect.), and their acoustic models, Gibson has had many more different models than Fender.
