benchiefjr
Could this be guns Hmmmm. Look for your self.http://www.ozzfest.com/bands.htmlthere's no way it's GnR. guaranteed. my guess is Rob Zombie or Avenged Sevenfold. i know they've been offered spots anyway.Avenged Sevenfold wouldn't be on the main stage anyways...trust me. It probably will be the Zombie

adnan
Gods of Metal is a metal festival as well. Plus many critics call AFD & GNR in general Metal. I don't think they are but....
ironicninja
Last year there was a mystery slot on the main stage and it ended up being Mudvayne or some shit. Avenged Sevenfold is pretty big right now...they're headlining a 5000 seat arena hereI'm just puzzled that with Slayer and Rob Zombie and Deftones releasing albums, with Metallica being on tour, and with Alice in Chains getting back together...THIS is the best lineup they could come up with? Maddergascar
Well, GnR are probably heavier than maiden or priest. It's only because of nu metal that people think of metal as being something that's really hardcore, like slipknot etc.

It's only because of nu metal that people think of metal as being something that's really hardcore, like slipknot etc.Heavier than Maiden or Priest my ass GN'R did blues based pop. Maiden and Judas Priest did metal epics in minor keys mostly and sung about Metal things.Big difference.

Slashtacular
Pretty sure it's going to be Avenged, but there are rumers flying about Manson.FYI, I voted for Anthrax.
kannon21
Hey I saw this clip of MTV News last night and they talked about Ozzfest '06, they said Ozzy wasn't going to headline the tour('xcept for 10 days) but that the tour will still include "Heavyweights Bands" System of a Down and Disturbed. Than they mentioned that the third "mystery" band looking for the top spot will be announced in May and when they said that I'm pretty sure they showed 2 seconds of Gn'R in concert, and I'm pretty sure because there was a guy wearing a Bucket!!!!!!!!! couldn't really see anyone else 'cause there was blue light on stage and could only see figures like shadows. Has anyone else seen this, or heard about Gn'R in Ozzfest?????
mynameisjonas
http://www.ozzfest.com/bands.htmlthere's still an empty spot, but i wouldn't like GN'R to go to that.

duncan.milligan
I say unlikely GNR and Iron Maiden are both managed by merck. And after what happened to Iron Maiden Last year, I doubt that Merck would allow GNR to play.
Sweetest_Child
as much as id like gnr to start touring again, i would not like to see em with pile of shit line up, its fkn embarassing.. half those bands are shit, and it costs a ton of money to be considered to be on the ozzfest, why pay to go on ozzfest? when axl would get paid to do his own shows..
